My recent discovery has saddened me. Just any other regular day walking to the store 7-Eleven. When I looked at the Rent-A-Game Section to find Call Of Duty: World At War, UGH! Activision disgusts me with them taking my name ideas. Look our game is practically the same.
COD (Call Of Duty)
First Person Shooter
Multiplayer/Cooperative
Historical Events Of World War II
Eastern Front
World At War (Byond)
Multiplayer/Cooperative
Historical Events of World War I
3D/Realistic Look
But Wait! HA HA
COD WAW's Name Was Released June 23, 2008
WAW Byond's Name was Released June 21, 2008

Unfortunately, you couldn't. Unless you got the name copywritten before them, and their game's name was just World at War.

Well atleast I have the satisfactory of knowing Activision owes me one, right AmonR, hell I might even be listed in their credits.

Can you even copyright names?

If you even thought about taking this anywhere, you would get laughed at so hardcore.
Just because COD was released 2 days after, doesn't mean that the name was chosen on that day. The fact of the matter is that you likely stole it from them, since that game was likely 'in-the-making' for quite some time, and there is always previews somewhere. "Shit, you guys, our game is coming out in stores today, we need to run around to all the delivery trucks and write a name on the cases, quick, grab your sharpies!" |

I made this post for Laughs "Just because COD was released 2 days after, doesn't mean that the name was chosen on that day." It was released to the Public that day... "The fact of the matter is that you likely stole it from them, since that game was likely 'in-the-making' for quite some time, and there is always previews somewhere." I don't play or like Call Of Duty so I doubt I followed their production, when I really didn't care. Edit: Damn, you people wow me. When I joke I am handled serious, when I am serious I am handled with a "You're a Downer" by someone. |
