Just edited the CSS as so that it has a bit more contrast, and also changed the primary colors. Is this any better for you all?

Well, I had no problem with the old CSS. It was alright but changing your primary colors shouldn't really hurt. So this is alright for the people who had problems with the yellow and white colors combination.

I prefer the new colors to be honest, my old ones were a bit too light for even my own tastes. |
I like this new css, makes it look space - ish XD, its not too bright or not too dark, its perfect.

The vision in one of my eyes is messed up right now, so it makes it a little hard to read the text with the white spots in the background. Personally I'd go for having the star background, then the box with the translucent background, then another box around the text with a black background. You still get the nice translucent box effect without making the text any harder to read.

Wohay, Very sexy indeed. Maybe cut out the "member_favorites" panel, and stretch the center to the right? It'd look cool. More "experiment"-ish. On a whole-scale, I really like it.
Good work! |

I just moved the Featured Game panel to the left as you said. I'm not sure how to stretch the center area to the right, though. I'm a newbie at CSS. :( I'm also not sure how to do the CSS equivalent of text background color. I'll Google it in a second.. |

Something is definitely wrong with my browser then, seeing as I still can't read any of your text without highlighting it. :/

It looks the same for your new css but with blue borders and stuff. |

Firefox 3.0.6 I just tried it with exactly the same specs, minus the GeForce, right down to the decimal in the FireFox version. I have no clue whatsoever. |
Meta, for some reason the star background image isn't loading for you (you may have images turned off).
Mechana, you can failsafe for this by making the background-color for the body tag to black. The bg image will cover it for everyone else, and those with images off will still be able to see the text. (EDIT: it's a guess - that's exactly what it would looks like when I disable images) (EDIT@Mecha: that last change got it for me) |
