Since Generiquest came back online just over a week ago a fair few changes have been made to it!
Firstly, I reorganized all of the coding and replaced all of the graphics to more simple, easier to use graphics. This was done in an attempt to cut down on the amount of time I spend developing the game, so I can now pump out more updates in a shorter time (more specifically, I can make maps much quicker now, with a similar level of quality as well).
The interface was also slightly changed, the colours it uses now reflect the style of graphics now in use.
With the updated graphics, I also redesigned a lot of the maps in the game, and made them much more challenging and detailed.
Added a minimap in town because apparently people on BYOND cannot play a game unless it is constantly holding their hand and telling them where to go next and practically playing it's self.
Added a few more skills, as of now all classes have at least some skills. (next update later today will hopefully add more skills for classes)
Additionally, 2 new dungeons were added.
The first dungeon is the bottom half of a Wizards Tower. It does not play out like other dungeons, it has a smaller layout and less monsters, but requires you to think and solve puzzles (as well as use teamwork) to progress through it.
The second dungeon is an Occultists Lair. It relies less on teamwork, but still has some minor puzzles that need solving in order to progress.
With these dungeons obviously comes new quests, enemies, bosses, items and so on.
Other than that, I have made a series bug fixes and balancing changes.
By the end of next week I intend on adding at least 1 new dungeon (possibly 2), new class skills, and I may work on something else (maybe a trade system, or a new PVP arena).
