In my last post, I gave you all a photo of a Koala in my back yard.

Today, I bring to more photos of a (presumably different) Koala in my front yard. These were taken in the daylight, about fifteen minutes ago.

Photo 4

In Photo 4 my Koala friend had gotten sick of me disturbing him for photo's he's not being paid for, so he decided to climb the tree.

If you guys are desperate, I can walk up the road and get some photos of a few Emus and some Kangaroos. And if you're really desperate, I can get a photo or two of a few brush tail Possum's that are friendly enough to take food from your hand. (We get a fair bit of wildlife where we are, as you may guess.)

(Tibbius) Tiberath says: With the weather like it is, I get probably photo some snakes while I'm running for my life. <.<

I always assumed that Koala's had tails, I guess you learn something new every day.
When you mentioned claws in your last post, I thought, wow, where can it hide such big claws? Now I know the claws are huge, but they blended in with the background before.

Well, all those red marks on the tree where the bark has been scraped off would be from when the Koala initially climbed down the tree, I bet.
Dang snap some shots of the Kangaroos!
I <3 Kangaroos!
Thats soo cool.. all I see here in New York are a few deers and Racoons lol
Dude, bag that thing up and mail it to me...I'll pay.

I snapped up another one just before. Same Koala, but he's further up in the tree and asleep in the shade.

It's about 40 degrees Celsius today.

Less than a metre.

Less than a metre.

So I'm guessing Koala's don't attack unless attacked first, or you wouldn't take that risk, right ?

It's more they can't attack unless you're touching them. They're not exactly fast animals, and they're slow moving.

Don't get me wrong, they can maul you. But only if you're stupid enough to try and like, pick them up.
What are the things that supposedly steal babies over in the outback?

That's the one, now they know what life is all about... Stealing babies =)
You should try and get a close up of the claw marks on the tree it was climbing. I love that they essentially climb Hulk style by just digging into what they're climbing.
