I was just about to head to bed when the mother taps on the window outside the computer room.

She was all, "come look at this".

So I peeked out, and there is a Koala running around in my back yard. So I snapped a few photos of it. Then it did something I never thought I'd ever see in my life.

See, out the back, we have a rather large brown spike, which we're eventually going to put a bird house on. But I think we've found a far more interesting use for it.

So if anyone asks "do Koala's really climb things in people's back yards" you can be all: "Yes, yes they do!".

And for those of you who have never seen a Koala, now you have.
Damn, That's awesome...
[16:04:00] Flame Sage: I just see a tree bear.

I just had to quote this. <.<
What exactly are koalas?

tree bears.

also, do you have more pics?
Actually, i read up on them, and they aren't tree bears...they're tree wallabies, not to be confused with tree kangaroos(which actually exist).
He left out the end of the story. Where they ate the koala.
Heh, holy crap. Eyes all glowing and all, thats a pretty nice camera if it can take such a nice night photo.

I'm not from that part of the world but it look sure does look friendly, I do wonder what would happen if you went to go pet it. ;X
Thats one evil koala!
I want to move to Australia, just for a little while, to see animals like that. Plus, I've always wanted to touch a platypus.
Pretty neat.

Around here we just get black bears climbing trees in our backyard.

Ugh.

That animal is an abomination! Careful, they're poisonous!

I remember seeing that animal ranked pretty damn highly(either 2 or 1) in "EXTREME animals; Stingers". It could pretty much kill you with one bite on the finger.
Haha, that thing is awesome.
Pretty spiffy.

God's counter to evolution :P

I grabbed one of the random Digital Camera's we own. I guess the father spared no expense?

One of two things. It'll either slowly climb down the poll to escape you. Or it'll maul you. They're cute, but their claws are really big and really sharp.

Nah, we left it alone and it climbed the fence.

Congratulations, we can add you to our death toll. Aside from being quite rare (I've never seen one personally), the females are quite poisonous, not so sure about the males.

I have two more. One you can hardly see the Koala and the other he's in the distance a little (I was inside at the time), but you can see him wandering from the 'bus stop' to the poll I snapped him on.

If you want, I'll upload the other one.

Oh yeah, the poison spurs they have behind their (back?) legs, forgot about that.

Some day I'm going to forget how to breath, that was stupid of me to forget. The best part is that we just had to watch a video in Biology, and they even talked about the platypus for about 10 minutes (out of the four hour movie, the platypus is pretty special).
The only thing we ever find in our backyard are hobos, seriously.
