Go on youtube search :Cory gunz, you 'll be amazed at his free styles.
I had been gone for the past 6 weeks or so due to not having internet and real-life issues, so I'd like to reply to the review now that I've had a chance to read it.

Heh, well unfortunately for Shinobi, I like to unravel tons of truth. Well basically this game is kill, kill and more kill, you wont have fun fighting others in this game at all.

Eh, I actually agree there, which is why I want to implement a more PvE-style to the game, while still keeping the PvP aspect as well. PvE combined with PvP can go a long way, especially when you can implement squads, missions, drop-systems, and so forth. Enemies become allies - vice-versa.

Most of the people on this game usually 1 hit k.o. you, which will usually get a average 12 year old frustrated.... I tried to say hi and ask for a few tips but before I got the words out you end up with a big fat 1 hit k.o. You haven't seen the kids that can hit up to 2e + 00 right?

That's not true. Lol. No one can hit that much unless they are edited and fortunately, usually not even staff members are edited unless they are testing things for updates. As far as trying to ask for help and getting killed in the process, you have to understand that students are protected from dying for a reason. Players jump the gun and want to rank-up as fast as possible, so the first thing most do after making their character is get Genin. At which point, you can kill and be killed. If players would train a little, then take the Genin Exam, then they wouldn't die so often.

I don't believe in safe zones, because eh - people abuse them... although I suppose one could make safe zones timed so that it wouldn't be as easy to abuse. But I do think that we're going to have to find a way to let players know - "Hey, you need to train BEFORE you take the Genin or you ARE going to die."

If you really don't want players to AFK train or Ez or all that crap, make a better user friendly training system. You can't blame players on the lack of code and thought added into the training system.

No, you can't blame players for that, but you can blame players for having to cheat an existing system. As I've said elsewhere, I personally dislike the current training system. I also dislike training systems where you have to be on a certain side of something each time to hit it in order to gain stats, or you have to click a certain section of the screen in order - and so forth. And I certainly don't want training to be too easy either, so I've run into a wall in that respect.

One other thing I would like to mention about the AFKing though, and just about all of the players from WOTS knows this, as I have admitted it and used it as an example - even I, when I was just an admin of WOTS, had AFK trained at one point in time. Yeah, it was only for 5 minutes while I was using the bathroom - but I did end up wiping my own character for it. Rules are rules. They aren't put there to make it hard on people or just because we're trying to be mean.

The 1 week ban + deletion isn't even that much of a punishment, as the same people continue to break the same rules. And I have thought about increasing the punishments for it. But it's NOT the way you say it is. It's just to ensure fair gameplay for those that do not cheat for their stats.

they have some nice icons in this game. I've been playing for a while now and all they icons look nice, but even some of the simplest icons have too much detail added to them, is that really necessary? As I said most of the icons had been re - pixeled

Honestly, I'm not too fond of the icons myself. I'm somewhat of a perfectionist, which is my downfall, but I would prefer if our icons were of the quality of say - GOA, BLN, or Naruto Evolution. That's just the style I personally prefer. The current icons are actually fairly old and I do want them redone. =/ But thanks.

It be even way better if the added some sounds jutsu sounds preferably

I dunno. Lol. Has it's advantages and disadvantages. I'll think about the suggestion though. Poll the players or something, see what they want.

It has some concepts from other games, and it wont be hard to find.

Unfortunately, even with console-gaming, ideas have been re-used and re-hashed. In this day and age, you can barely find any game with original concepts. All concepts were taken from somewhere. =/

So I will end this by saying good luck to Acrpytid and his team in the process of re-creation.

Thanks by the way. And beyond this review, if you have any suggestions on how to improve the game, let me know either through the forums, pager, email, blog, or whatever. Always looking for ideas.

One last thing. Was re-reading the first few lines, actually caught something. Lol.

This game was known to be Axerob and Busters game, but mainly Axerob since it was his old hub. I really don't want to get into how "Acryptid" owns this game, but I'll tell you in a nutshell. Azerob, Acrpytid, Buster and a few other kids, got into a hissy fit and eventually axerob claims "He got back stabbed" Now Acrpytid owns the game.

Just to set the record straight, it wasn't just Rob and Buster. I was one of the owners of "WOTS" as well. Have been for a very long time. It's not like I just up and appeared out of nowhere, took the game away from Rob and Buster, then made it my own. This game just emerged due to misunderstandings between Rob and myself (of him closing down WOTS for an entirely new game, which he changed his mind about right before the switch, and I hadn't known) as well as honestly, wanting to be able to lead the game into a different direction than it had been going prior; which I hadn't been able to do before as I was more-or-less the "everything else" owner, while Rob was taking care of the programming and iconning aspects. Buster and Rob are still owners here too, by the way. It's not just me. o.o

LONG post. No tldrs k?
William you don;t like the icons because they are blurry ;] Too many shades = bad
This Review is stupid and im 12 and i should know that this game wont get me frustrated just train and stop bitching about the game everyone plays the game.have like 100 players on a day and William didnt "steal" the game k ? he just wanted to make his own game something he called his own. Yes, it is still WOTS but an older version of it. Some like Shinobi better and some like WOTS better. To me i think its all the same thing so therefore i like them both

Also becuz the training is fair, cant hit 2 million >_>. i believe Conman did some of the GFX not sure actually. of course there are concepts from other games. 12 year-olds have no opinion. Their upperclassmen aren't supposed to let them.
Looool.
the game fuckin sucks if you didnt start when they pwiped your chances of catching up to the hardcore gamers is slim also gms abuse rugg L they mute ban for things that happen outside of the game or just because they dont like you the training systems slow as fuck i have to wait like a week just to see my clan jutsus the hours spent on training are horrible all you do is hit a fucking log all day for the most part or spam train jutsus :*( which isnt so bad but the logs... mountain climbing.... water walking... fail!!!! ive played the game since buster was the owner :)
If you want a fast training game, then go play a stolen game so you can become level 1 billion in less then thirty seconds, and have all your jutsus within a minute. But I understand, however, the repetition of the training logs, gets rather boring, or A LOT boring.
If you wish to play a long term game like this. Then this is the game for you. But if you wish to play a game with more compelling skills that requires less time, then perhaps another game would be suitable for you.
The game is in principle a very good game with it's exclusive icons and effects though the tiresome training sequenz that you repeat all day makes the game dull and unsurprisingly repeatedly.

Nonetheless the never tired people who has been through the tired and harsh training has to blow off all it's steam on you, giving you no chance to really develope your character in any certain way.

Gradually this game would increase it's potential if it had some sort of balanced way to increase stats. Not saying that it should be easy to increase, but gaining after hours of hitting a log only 100 in tai is not the way to give your gamer a quality time.

Like said before, this is a long term game where the benefit comes after you have been through all capped and you are finally strong enough to fend off attackers without resulting to hiding behind a tree or ending up in spawn.
Log training is one of the most inefficient methods of training in this game. Do your research before you decide to make an elaborate comment.

Oh, and for the record, if we changed the training method(s) (As in there are multiple), to things such as quests, we would recieve even more complaints due to the monotonity/repetitive nature of quests that are only so limited on BYOND.

Shinobi has always been a casual Naruto game; average updates average playerbase, unique content. If you want to go all out competitive and whatnot, go to GOA. Though even thier game recieves just as much criticism as far as the training goes. The rate in both games are average, they just require patience.

Throwing a kunai at the log is just the same it includes shuriken tossing and senboin tossing, it's in all LOG TRAINING (Like hitting a log etc.)... Rugg I have played the game for five days to see what all this ruthless rumours are about. Anyhow the game is pretty much dull after my opinion and that is MY opinion.

I stated my reason to why it's so dull. Maybe you don't like my "critism" but it's what I have all experienced from the game for 5 days training with a log including capping my person fully in health and chakra (Genin though).

I wouldn't call it critism though, I would call it a comment on the game. Because it warns you and gives you and idea to you what this game has for you in store. Yes, it's detailed the graphics are exceptional, yes it takes time though it's not just the time and effort you put in the game. It's the endless repetitiveness that maybe brings some players to an halt.

Oh and for the record, I make suggestions on how you could improve the game instead of saying "Your game sucks because of bla bla bla" and I do not think it "sucks" as it's a brilliant game but just not a game for me.

I think games like DB Finale with automatic training verbs which takes time and which you can with others stand beside is a great way to improve this game.

DB Finale is probably one of the best games on Byond anyway as you can chat, train and become stronger without anyone bothering you.

Shinobi is a great game for those who likes long term games and there's nothing wrong with that. So why don't you go bother someone else, yes?
You comment shinobis training system, and then give a thumbs up to Finales self training?

Finales training takes a considerable amount of time to even get anywhere, let alone the completely stat reliant "battle" systems. Im appalled that you would even compare Shinobi, (Or any game for that matter), and suggest it to take after Finales horrible example.

So, okay, we'll make training take require a strenuous amount of time to achieve things like finale, oh and for shits and giggles we'll add a "train self" verb.

Hah.

Quest aren't that limited. How hard would it be to make a gathering quest? Go pick up 5 (Items). Run whereever, do it. You could even turn this into a larger concept. Kill (Monster) to get the (Items). This would require somewhat of a A.I. system, but it wouldn't be that bad. Give certain mobs different moves, etc.

There are ways to make things fun. :D
First what do you expect to happen to you when you go genin at start -_-' second this game is not just about kill kill kill and kill its just about kill :P.
What is the name of the game? I can't find it.
