Hey guys with War Brothers' pre alpha release coming up soon I was wondering if somebody can clue me in on some good servers and how it works. I am currently clueless on whats a good server and how much it would cost to purchase a good server. I also currently don't have one cent to my name(literally, with gas being what it is). So if anyone is willing to help out with purchasing this server, as far as donating some money please feel free to do so, I will repay you back if War Brothers turns a profit and I will also provide you with a sub. I am also willing to do some pixel art for anyone who needs it to achieve this goal. Thank you.

PS
I am looking to purchase a server not use any free ones. I don't want to depend on someone else.

Thank you.
(I don't know why it was moved to Classified Ads i just want to learn about servers and see what people think is a good server. It's hard to have people share different opinions over my pager.)

Fair enough, though BYOND Discussion is certainly the wrong forum. Moving this to Off Topic instead.
Ok, I wasn't sure where to put it.
Here's an organization that worked well for me. I would imagine that you'd want a Windows Server so that would probably make it about $26 or so and you could add extra nodes at any time to make it even more powerful.

VPS NET :

# 1 Node #
Dedicated CPU 0.6GHz
Dedicated RAM 376MB
Disk space10GB
Network transfer1TB
Monthly cost$20.00

I'll look into it, I've also heard ByondPanel is pretty good.
For Byond specific hosting yeah, their deals are better. VPS.net was what I used for multiple purposes.
I've had byond panel, it's pretty good and reliable as well. Also I imagine it's simpler to set up and use.

Not true at all I allow for MySQL PHP phpMyAdmin and DMCGI.

If the client wants anything else installed I am very flexible.
Windows Servers are horrible for hosting from my point of view, I've always prefered Linux for that.

I think you just misunderstood what I said. You need to have read it in the context of being a response to CB saying they will look at Byond Panel. I was saying that ByondPanel is better value that VPS.net for Byond specific hosting.

Enternal_Memories, you're right. There is a time and place for windows but linux is an undoubtedly superior option in most cases. That's why it's the most widely using hosting system.

I did read somewhere that even Microsoft use *nix based systems for some things.
