Apparently, I have a lot of items to offer this week. There are also music videos. Enjoy!
- In the comments of Kunark's blog, Zenko444 stated that Fate doesn't seem to show up on the hub when it's hosted. I just ran my own server. Perhaps the hub was just running really slow, but I saw neither the server on the hub page nor the game name in the window. I'm thinking that perhaps Kunark originally released the game under his Rabid Family Dog key and the game refers to an old hub entry. Either way, this is a concern because new players can't enter from the hub page. I'm going to try to test another server later, but the game might be removed from the featured list (or the guild?) soon.
- While we're on the subject of bugs, I have witnessed the Last Robot Standing graphical bug on the Mars server. More concerning was the fact that the game appeared to be locked-up with no players. (Yes, I reported it.) I have not seen a game being played on the other servers since the bug was reported so I'm still unsure if they are affected.
- Jeff8500's Real Time Defense has had an alpha version released, been updated, and been entered into the guild. As the name may imply, it's a base defense game. Instructions are on the hub page.
- Acebloke's Micro Defence has been released and entered into the guild. It's a small, color-based base defense game with a help file. Consequently, it is the only base defense game I have ever manage to play with some idea of what I'm doing. (Although, I still lost quickly.)
- Aixelsyd responded to last week's Tech Tree and stated that his turn-based strategy game, Radamir, has indeed been canceled. Hopefully, his current project, Strife, will have better luck.
- Squeegy had a blog post explaining that he was pleased with the interest some people have shown in Faith and has plans to release an update. He deleted the post. In it's place, he updated the Faith Progress box he keeps on his blog with the date the box was modified! Merry Christmas to me! ;)
- Vexonator is looking for honest opinions on his current games, including Insurgency.
- Paragon Entertainment released a screenshot of Military Tycoon. It's a text game, but the interface is displayed and it's good to know that work is being done.
- Tag Youre Pregnant had Christmas Eve servers of both 172.16.0.1's Fortay and my Occupied Forces. I was having a family gathering so I couldn't attend, but I did catch the note on the bottom of the post about work being done on a new RTS.
- DadGun is back on BYOND, but his turn-based strategy game, Era of Command, is not being developed.
- Calus CoRPS is designing some sort of fighting game where players control their fighters by moving nodes of their skeleton. It could involve energy management, but I don't know if he has settled on enough details to plan on it being a guild entry yet. =)
- Choka is running a poll to figure out what he should work on next. A strategy game "based off RPG fantasy" is one of the options.
- It's not a guild game, but Duelmaster409 wrote a review for Ginseng's strategy RPG, Dungeon Master, with screenshots.
- I'd like to thank Mechadragon for making an effort to host GrimTunnel, asking questions which led to improved help files, and creating a GrimTunnel picture guide.
- I released an update for Occupied Forces with a bug fix and interface improvements which might be seen in the screenshots. I'm currently working on the interface for PathWrath 2 and a new game while I finish sounds for GrimTunnel.
Last week, I promised I'd bring music...
Got news? This is the last Tech Tree of 2008!
