Well, I haven't been kicked out yet due to the graciousness of several people, but the solution was only temporary. If I can not find a job within the next week, I will have to move out of here - and now I am at a point where I don't care where I end up at, so I might just travel again.

Its sad, I wanted to build up something here, but apparently everything is conspiring me to look elsewhere for my glorious destiny that I was promised when I signed up for this life.

I would recommend trying to find a cheap community to live in somewhere, and maybe link to your paypal in your next post. Many people on BYOND are pretty generous!

I can vouch for that. Lots of people 'round here sent me help when I fell on bad times.

I know that, but I really want to see if I can manage things myself. It is not so much pride as the desire to prove to myself that I can do it, and not be tempted to take an "easy path".

I wish. The laptop I am not selling because it is what I am using to apply for jobs online and to retain email contact with potential employers and friends - and I am not willing to sell it until I have to, for that reason.

The apartment has been paid this month by someone dear to me, but they won't be able to help me anymore than that, which is why I can only stay here to the end of the month, because they won't be able to support me any longer than that.

The fact that I am -not- asking for help or whatnot should hopefully be proof enough that I am not trying to rip anybody off.

I think I've got an extra shell laying around, you can borrow it if you want, Splatty.

If it makes you feel any better, my roommate is going through the same thing, only I'm the one kicking him out. If you're traveling in North Carolina and need a place to sleep at night, I've got a warm couch for you.
