CAUTION: POSSIBLE SPOILERS

I saw Jarhead today. Personally, I loved it. It seems like most people( or rather, most reviewers? ) love it or hate it, though some feel it wasn't quite "whole". Some morons think it's an "insult to American soldiers". I can't say anything for an American soldier's viewpoint, but according to what I've read, some real soldiers felt it was accurate.

It contained a few sexual scenes( ok, more than a few ), though. So it's probably not for kids. There wasn't much violence, but there were some disturbing scenes(corpses, etc).

It was about the experience of Anthony Swofford, a marine in the USMC. It told of his experience at the time of Desert Storm. Swoff and his buddies pretty much went through it being bored. They never actually got into battle. At first they were defending in Saudi Arabia, I believe, but later sent in to fight. They went through the aftermath of the action.

It really quickly went through some of what happened when the war ended, Swoff getting back to life, but no real details.

I won't say more than that. I'm not much of a reviewer, but I just wanted to express my opinion. It may not sound exciting, but I really enjoyed it.
