Added a new dungeon to Generiquest AND a new class.
The new dungeon is for level 11-16 or so players. Has 3 bosses (two rather unique so far), 6 quests and should take no longer than 1 hour to finish.
The new class is the Wizard. They are a spellcaster that is excellent at manipulating and controlling magic. They can support ally spellcasters and turn them into monsters, or totally cripple enemy spellcasters.
Next update (end of tomorrow) I will fix any of the inevitable bugs the Wizard class has, and I am going to update item drops somewhat and give bosses a wider variety of item drops (especially unique equipment).
May also add the job building and an accessory shop to sell generic accessories too.
Now for fun facts and figures 8D
Generiquest has been in development for just over 4 months.
Nearly all (I'd say 80-90%) of the systems the game will use are finished. It is lacking a trade system, decent PVP system and a guild system. Nothing more.
It currently has 7 dungeons, of which 8 are fully finished.
In those 8 dungeons there is a total of 32 quests. Plus 6 in the starting tutorial (38 total)
26 different kinds of enemies, all with different and unique AIs.
24 Boss enemies. The majority of them having majorly different AIs that require very different stratergies to win against.
There is now 6 finished classes in the game, and 4 with some skills finished but not all.
This is a total of 172 working skills currently in the game. Excluding skills unique to enemies and animal companions (which brings the total upto 224)
Of the 569 items in the game...
327 are equipable
172 are scrolls for learning skills
32 are consumable
18 are random loot
20 are quest items
In short. Even making a small scale RPG is a HELL of a lot of work, especially if you want players to have objectives other than grinding.
