Alright, I live, sleep, breathe, and eat paintball, it's my life and I'm proud of it. I'm a punk, there I said it, I wear classic black/pink checkered vans, dickies, studded belt, and a collared shirt underneath a longsleeve. There is nothing wrong with this style and people automatically judge me (and countless others) as being hudlums and "bad people" with which they tell their kids to stay away from.

Come on now, the paintball team I support, HK, are just like me. At a recent event (just a day with a bunch of players getting together to play), someone pointed out to the cops that the group in a certain area of the parking lot was HK. So, what did the cop do? Ejected them from the event! Now lets see, did any other teams get that kind of treatment? No! HK did nothing out of the ordinary, yet people were early to judge and said "look at their style, they've been known to make trouble in the past."

Even in a recent paintball magazine, (PB2X), an article was written that blatently targetted HK, why? Because they were quick to judge.

Take my advice, and life will be much kinder to you.

After all, if you saw me offline, you most likely wouldn't think I'd even visit a site like BYOND, let alone participate in it's community.
You are in HK or just support them?
I'm a supporter, why do you ask?
I'm similar to you, except for the pink thing (the colour I like the least, besides lime-green).
I'm so often judged because I wear a black shirt underneath my uniform and I wear black pants. Oh well, the black is normally not the only colour I wear, because, like you, I love to play paintball.
Well, this message was just to say I agree with your post in its entirety.
Just wondering, I love to play paintball and I was once into the punkish style :).
