It got released a couple days ago, and I downloaded it. When I first load the game, wow. The graphics are awesome, and are unbelievable. If you have bought Half-Life 2, it comes with Half-Life 2: Lost Coast already, so you can go play it! The only problem is that if you don't have a higher-end computer, you won't be able to play it with HDR on. The only video cards which can support this are the GeForce 6 and 7 series, and the Radeon x10 series. (Which I think, got released very recently.)
I took some screenshots. These screenshots were shot with an NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT @ Ultra speeds. All of these screenshots are in the highest settings. (x8 AA, x16 AF) Some screenshots are in x4 AA because I forgot to set them to those settings yesterday.
[due to the file size, I will only post one picture, since ripway yelled at me for bandwidth.]

those pictures are amazing. Fuck the 360, it has nothing on the PC. o.o

damn man i have a 256MB NVIDIA GEForce FX5500 (it can play half life 2 with no porb can it still play with low settings?)
|
Heh. The HDR is rather nice, But it COULD be stronger. But im not one to complain. My comp could handle it being upped another x10
and HL2 doesnt read FX5500 as 9.0 capable for some reason. Which wont allow it to run HDR. Atleast on my friends comp. |
yeah I played it the other day. The HDR was so sexy... but it lagged because I didn't have the 1 gb of RAM... *cries*
Its awefully short though... I had to noclip to the end after I killed the chopper because I didn't want to fall into the ocean |
btw I have a ATI Radeon 9800SE 128mb VRAM GPU... and it can play HDR at full... My 512mb RAM causes it to stutter a little however.
Oh yeah, if you can reupload the images to another place like image shack or something |
Well the map was just ment to show off the HDR capability. Only reason why its so short =P
