I'm running windows 7 on virtualbox on a macbook pro with a netgear router. I've tried disabling my firewall and port forwarding, but I still get the error message that other players cannot reach my server. I've spent much time and effort into developing a game and I pray that I'll be able to run it on this website in the future.

Okay I might just go with purchasing a server, as long as its possible to have my game up and running.

All else fails you could purchase a server from http://byondpanel.com as the server would be 24/7 hassle free and you don't need any knowledge of opening ports etc.
