- Ganing created Seika SE, a fangame of Seika in the base defense genre. This is one of the rare times where I may have access to a fangame's content owner. However, members of Iccusion have yet to answer my post so I'm holding off on adding the game to the guild.
- Gughunter released an update for his elevation library, gug_terrain. Xooxer said that he'd likely use it in his RTS. So there you go. Xooxer's new RTS will have elevations and certain icon sizes. That's the kind of hard hitting journalism you've come to expect from Tech Tree. ;)
- CalusCoRPS is again looking for ways to maintain motivation. This time he focuses on modular programming in order to avoid repetitive tasks. Being the helpful soul that I am, I'll simply link to his comment that The Last Wizard will be updated soon. I can repeat this task often. MUHUHAHAHA!
- Ganing is hoping that someone on BYOND will create a game based on Go. Any takers?
- DarkKabuto and Enigmatic Illusion Production are looking for help on a game called Hacker: World Gone Bankrupt. I'm still trying to figure out if they should be looking for recruits here since it sounds more like an RPG. There are story elements, but I don't know what the strategy mechanics are.
- I noticed that Lummox JR fixed Incursion's broken forum link by removing it. Perhaps it's not the ideal solution for those who want a place to claim that active games are dead, but I wanted to point out that many games still have broken forum links from the web site change ages ago.
- There are still many featured BYOND Strategy games that could use reviews. You should always be able to find them in the Disclosure forum.
- Once upon a time, Mechana2412 told me not to mention an RTS that he was working on. Now he has a buttload of hub entries, many of which appear to be strategy games, and only a few of them appear to have been released. See what happens when you don't let me nag, oh experimental developer? ;)
- I have discovered what appear to be resizing issues with skins involving nested children when using Vista. I may have to start providing alternate skin packs. I'm currently holding a poll to determine the default ratio I should use.
I've also just released my phase handling library. This was the last library I wanted to create before working on GrimTunnel again so work should resume soon.

So yeah, quite a few Strategy games I'm making.. How quickly I will be able to complete them, though, is another matter entirely. I'm an obsessive-compulsive coder, so I constantly switch between projects. I try to commit to certain projects more than others, though.
EDIT: I made an entry for GIAD 2008 which was going to be a simple strategy game, but I never got around to the actual gameplay. Iain should be writing up something about it soon. Ironically, I made a complete helpfile before I made the gameplay, detailing everything you could do. I'll leave you to wonder which individual has caused me to add complete helpfiles to all of my Strategy games. ;)
