Lately I've been writing some firewall tutorials for BYOND Help. But I've since ran out of ideas.
I know there's too many different firewall programs out there to possibly cover them all. But I figure I'll take requests for the most popular firewalls.
So kids, give me something to do. What firewalls do you use?

I use Avast, but I don't think it really has a firewall built in. I think it just virus scans everything as you're doing it.

I have a firewall in my modem (I think) that prevents me from hosting. I'll try and find out what it is.

NOD32, Spybot SD, Kaspersky, AVG, uh. that's the list between me and everyone I know, haha.

AND ON A SIDE NOTE: You need to learn to turn your "what am I listening to" thingy off on MSN when you're watching very questionable material with very disturbing titles. I'm sure you don't want ALL of your contacts knowing your dirty little secrets.

I use perhaps 2 of them, both VERY horrible as I cannot get them off the damn computer, considering one molds itself to the hard-drive, the other is hard-coded into the system. Guessed what they are yet?
The 2 nightmares in 1 package. Norton, and Windows. |

I'm sure you don't want ALL of your contacts knowing your dirty little secrets. That's not me though. See, I'm not stupid enough to play questionable material with that running. I have DivX player for it. But because winamp is a cunt, whenever a family member decides to fire up limewire (See, I'm the only person in my family who has it), they love to use the default program to view everything they watch. That being "Winamp". Don't worry though, I already had a go at my eldest brother for being an idiot. That was a nice story to explain away... |
