It all began one day when someone found the Pokemon XD source, which I hear is also ripped (it wouldn't suprise me; Aaronland appears to barely know English, let alone DM). They decided to release it under the name Pokemon Battle Force and edit it a little. The product is a game that gets anywhere from 10-60 players per day. So it must be good, right?
Wrong.
[EDIT: Apparently the pokeballs are actually in an inventory now. Everything else remains the same, including bugs]
Gameplay: You catch pokemon (which stand still and do nothing) by pressing a button. A box comes up for you to name it if you catch it, and if you didn't catch it, it says you didn't. Pokeballs are a stat in your statpanel, instead of in your contents, which I find very odd. It appears the battling is just an attack verb really, or RPing, god only knows, I didn't even last that long (in this game, or the game it was ripped from, or any of the other various rips). Your pokemon can follow you around, which is pretty cool, for a while. When I began, I got a mudkipz. Then I had it follow me, and left the lab I was in. I was moved to some far away place, and my mudkipz was left in said lab I supposed, causing me to lose my only pokemon.
Presentation: The PMD icons are the only good ones here really. Every other icon looks kind of big, like as if a monkey figured out how the scale() proc worked.
Originality: It's a rip, but it has a different map at least. I also hear there were more updates; I don't really care about them, though.
Community: They suck. When I lost my precious mudkipz, no one helped me etc. They only told me it was my fault, even though there was no clear documentation of said bug. I'll score this as a 0, but I won't factor it in my overall score.
Overall: Don't play it.
I made this review because I felt people shouldn't try it. I know many other BYONDers, such as Foomer, will talk about making reviews for only good games. Well, I figured I may as well write one bad review, as I hate this game.
EDIT: I wrote this review solely for the purpose of warning the community of a terrible game. No one put me up to this. I hate Aaronland. Why does everyone think otherwise?

wow this is the best pokemon game on byond actually there has been alot of updates ur just mad cause u lost one pokemon on lvl 1 wow all u had to do is remake it really wasnt that hard maby some of the GM's dont help but most of them help all the time

First off, ur a retard, because the game is not ripped, it was coded from scratch u moronic noob, 2nd of all, u lost ur pokemon because u either logged out with them out or u just a plain retard, dont blame other people for ur retardedness, and 3rd of all, they dont have staff at the moment cause their is a temp server, so ur basicly doing this review of what u heard not experiencing it urslef, so stfu u stupid dumb ass noob, I higly recomend this game to all players, dont listen to noobs like Jeff.

Fair Review Your game wouldn't get much better. In fact, it probably would score the same. And Jiraiya Itachi, please explain how both games have the exact same typos and bugs. EDIT: Also explain why the AI is the same (except for the name), too. I just remembered that. | |

When I replied before, I didn't fully read your post as the only words I saw were "noob" etc.. I just fully read it and now I have even more to say. 1) I did experience it myself. All of the experiences touched in this review. 2) My pokemon is supposed to follow me. How am I supposed to know I'll lose it if I leave a building? 3) Nice insults there. Wow, this review is VERY faulty. I suggest that people get their facts straight, before they go posting reviews about games that they have something against and can’t give them a fair review. The purpose of this review is solely to flame NuclearBlast and his staff for departing from Aaronland and his staff’s game, then making a better one. It is NOT ripped, because after leaving, Nuc coded his OWN map and did everything over himself. Just because something has similar designs to something else, doesn’t make it ripped you idiots. If you want to say that, then all these Pokemon games on BYOND are ripped from the official ones. Anyway, whoever reads this review should simply not pay it any attention and should play the game for a while and see how you like it. I, for one, think that it is the best Pokemon game on BYOND and many people would agree. Furthermore, all the supporters of this review are staff and supporters of rival games that just want to try to compete with it. If you read this, I hope you disregard what these people have said, and play it to get your own opinion and not take a biased phony one.

This is nothing AT ALL of PBF I think you just have something against good gaming. I suggest that an unbiased review is made for this game It's an excellent game. It is not ripped. Your an asshole. It's orriginal. You didn't face a bug, you were ignorant enough to leave it out, and it WAS your fault. It's not RPing, it's strategy. There's a "New Game" button and no recreation limit on purpose, so fools who leave their starter in the lab can remake and make a wiser decision instead of bitching about it. Hmm. I think that theres only 1 thing right in your review. And thats the ammount of people who play it. Anyone who says hes an idiot for the 'bug' that made him abandon his pokemon on accident is infact a retarded retard because it's impossible to fix. THE END. Thats what the first update was, NuclearBlast recoded all the shit, got alot more pokemon icons, and remapped.
