My new toy!

Recently I got a blackberry. I've been quite impressed with it. It is my first smartphone, so I suppose the bar wasn't that high.

I originally wanted an Android based phone, but as I was already stuck in a contract with Sprint and it looks like it will be a good while before Sprint gets one, I decided to get a blackberry instead. I'm hoping that I'll be lucky enough to have android released on the Blackberry.

So far, I'm very happy with the purchase. I've never felt so connected with friends and family. It's kinda like the feeling of getting your first cellphone(for the older crowd who grew up in the days when phones where teathered to the wall.)

We'll see how I feel in a week, but today I'm loving it.

Ouch. Sprint? You should consider moving to T-Mobile or AT&T and getting an HTC Touch Diamond.

Blackberries are referred to as "Crackberries" for a reason! :D

Actually, in my area, Sprint has the best data plans and coverage. I'm not a fan of windows mobile, so I chose blackberry. My boss has a HTC, and it works ok, but it took him the better part of two days to get over the air syncing to work with exchange. My brother had a Samsung Ace with winmo and it was nothing but trouble. He ebay'd it and got a blackberry.

Yeah I had a pearl from AT&T but recently switched to verizon, I took one look at the Curve and decided I didn't want it. Buttons are terrible it would be a downgrade from the pearl, so I decided to get HTC SMT5800, and I am quite happy with it, all the features I want and I can finally put my ebooks on it.

My brother has a Pearl, I like the Curve keyboard more than the Pearl keypad. It's really a matter of opinion though. I just like the full keyboard. It takes a little getting used to with the small buttons, but I can now type at a very good speed.

Heh, welcome to the dark side. I got my first "real" cellphone two months ago, a Blackberry Pearl and I'm hooked..Already considering upgrading looking at all the new models they have coming out but I guess I'll be patient a bit.
