Been there, done that. Good thing SIM cars can survive a swim, even if the phone can't.

Also, Confucius say, "Man who leaves phone in pocket when he washes pocket ends up with the same problem as the man who forgot "no swimming with cell phone in pocket"".

I've gone swimming with mine. The best thing you can do it take the battery off and shake as much water out of it as you can then let it sit and dry for awhile. Don't try and turn it on until it's dry.
Mine has been soaked for long periods of time and it still works perfectly. |

Which is precisely how most of these "accidents" happen -- after dousing their electronic device, they immediately hit the power button and scream "OH MY GOD DOES IT STILL WORK?" |
When leaving it to dry, my physics teacher informed my class that it's better to leave it in a room with a heater on, but not infront of the heater.
If anything, it probably only advances the drying process, but hey, faster the better. |
