Okay, I'd like to do a review on one of my personal favorite games on BYOND. Space Station 13. There have been times when I only got on BYOND just to play SS13. It's very interactive and there are plenty of things you can do in this game.
* Gameplay - 9 *
SS13 is a round base RP taking place in a space station. There are modes to choose from:
-Secret (Random Mode)
-Meteor (Survive a Meteor Shower)
-Traitor (Stop the traitor, or if you are him complete your objectives)
-Monkey (The crew has been infested with a strange disease that turns them into monkeys, stop them or join them)
-Nuclear (The Syndicate have invaded SS13, stop them before they blow up the station)
* Presentation - 7 *
Most of the icons are pretty well iconed, though some of them could be improved, but I'm not going to complain. The hud is very nice as well, though it's very complicated, but you'll get use to it. Just take the time to learn and try asking for help if you need it.
* Originality - 10 *
It is the most original and oldest games on BYOND that's still played today. There is no other game that compares to it. Embrace yourself for one hell of an experience.
* Community - 3 *
It's hard to rate the community considering several people can be assholes. It usually depends on which server you play on and how strict the admins are. Overall most of the players suck and tend to ruin the RP.
* Wrap-Up *
It's always been my favorite game on BYOND. Even for strict players it sometimes gets hard to follow to rules when you just want to beat the hell out of a complete idiot with a toolbox. Overall, I'll give it a 10, just because it was programmed so well and the idea of it was pretty great.

Yes the game is pretty good,but the only thing that bothers me is when i first started there was no help guide telling me what to do.I ended up waiting 2 hours for someone to get on but instead the server shut down.but now that i've been playing for a good while it's not bad.

You are insane, this is the worst RP game ever, they should make it into some super action game since most people suspect each other in being the traitor and grab crowbars to fight them off, even if its extended... even if its any other besides traitor... its you + crowbar = a bump on the head, that = you flying down the garbage chute then some noob sets on the fire in the gatbage disposal place since they find it wierd people fall down there, i mean wtf how noob can you be? same goes for people who have no experiance in being a engineer, someone turns on the engine when you had nothing to do with it and its sabotage, bye bye and hello crowbar/toolbox... its always like that same goes for security who just wont do there job, you beat up other prisoners and they just walk away in search of blue goggles, or they kill you by makeing the tanks siphon all your air, even the other prisoners die... welcome to my world, the world of super sucker 13, the saga of noobs continues! (dont deny this, if you deny your either a shit admin who abuses... dont deny there are so many admins that abuse its impossible on any other game or a griefer who likes to kill people without rp) also those who will say i dont know how to RP... FUX U k? Noone who plays SS13 can play, if i were to make a review of my adventure you would laught your asses off, ive been killed by toolboxes/ crowbars so many times its ridicilous

also NEVER hope for a admin to help you, its blasphemy because here is usualy there answer A: the most common answer = "I hate whiners" even when its a STRICK RP SERVER... basically who are admins do not know first thing about there job besides walking in space without clothes and useing people as targeting dummys (my friends personal experiance) B: they just ignore you, basically you have a better chance with report griefer (wich is never answered) or C: They are my friend and i trust them. Well thats also my friends personal experiance this admins friend grifed him and he banned for accusing his buttsmex buddy in griefing... basically you are on your own, be a nub cause to survive at SS13 its as same as going camping at hollow forest as a shinigami with no sword (just a example) vs Arrancars with shikai(THE NUBZ) So to survive like little timmy (the shinigami) grab a crowbar and BANKAI! (beat them to a pulp) and dont use the garbage chute, btw if your opponent runs at you, griefer, if he just stands still 3 sec, griefer, TO SURVIVE STRIKE HIM FIRST! IN THE FACE! AND DONT RP CAUSE YOU WONT GET IT RETURNED!

In one post you both consider it the best roleplaying game yet consider the majority of community to blow chunks at roleplaying. =)

Killer22 a most awsome display of reviewing skills you obviously have talent for the job. The other people that reviewed this game obviously have a lack of reviewing skills I might add. This one is far better because killer22 is a true rper. If your into rp other byond games just dont compare to the originality and thoughtfulness behind space station 13. Wow, that was... rather incoherent. You don't need a "roleplay" verb to roleplay. Roleplaying is playing a role in a believable way; nothing to do with what specific command you use.
That said, there are very few good roleplayers on SS13. I'm sure that if I had the opportunity to see Killer22 in action, I could give an honest assessment of his skills at roleplaying based on: * The ability to convey emotion * The ability to be coherent * The ability to adapt to roles, rather than just "acting as yourself" * The ability to handle situations where players act in an out-of-character fashion | |

You cannot role play on a Dragon Ball Z game. Why? Because the roles are taken, you don't see 42 Gokus walking around in the Animé do you? (I'm guessing here actually correct me if I am wrong.)
A Role play verb does not a role play game make. In ss13 you can convey your emotions and actions through say "*emote here" A lot of ss13 server are ripe with Grief a lot aren't though. Gonja you need to calm down I saw all the comments on Rauno595 site. And Jt, Killer is quite good in my opinion as I have played with him before. | |
