Posts critical of Xooxer's 9/11 Posts/general attitude = removed from front page.
Explain.

I'm guessing the staff does not want blog post which "semi-insult" the intelligence of other users. But it is somewhat like spam what Xooxer is doing, everyday and even more than once a day he post information about this conspiracy. Which is why I am hoping for a ignore blog post feature.

I think it is great what xooxer is posting. There are some for and against his post regardless. He paid for a service and he isn't violating any rules.

I don't mind him posting, it just gets annoying seeing his post everyday which is why we should be able to ignore blog posts.

Yes, apparently, which is why I'm complaining that posts critical of his view are being suppressed.
As far as I'm concerned, he's free to post whatever he wants, but if we have opinions opposing his, they shouldn't be swept under the carpet. | |
OK, my Greasemonkey script is done, it takes a sec to work (since it is only executed once the page is loaded) and it leaves the comments link but meh, Xooxer seems intent on removing all comments from his posts anyway. I'll upload it in a sec and stick it in the Random Apps box.

There's nothing wrong with Xooxer's blog posts, but I don't visit BYOND because I want to hear about 9/11 conspiracies. I visit BYOND because I'm interested in game s and game design.

I made a post about how he's obsessed with it, and it was taken off the front page. I didn't find any 'insults' so to speak, but I probably did offend him. Not that that's a bad thing though.

The rationale is likely that the censored blog posts attack Xooxer personally. Granted, his posts insult the intelligence of anyone who actually reads them, and he usually resorts to personal attacks himself; but there's always been a double-standard for suck-ups when it comes to BYOND moderation.
An ignore feature would be very, very welcome. | |

As stated posts directed specifically at a single person in a demeaning or offensive nature are usually removed from the front page.

Hey Hazman, mind if I hijack your post real quick? If your good at greasemonkey scripts, I've got one that I would like to do, involving BYOND. It's to help build templates for forum posts. Mostly to cut down on the amount of time it takes to reply to common problems on BYOND Help.

I'm all for being lazy. So if you will help/do all the work while I take credit, great! Basically I want a drop down box above the body textbox that I can select from a few preselects with some automatically filled in variables like my key(or whoever is making the post) and the one I'm replying to's key.
I've made a basic feature request, but it's doubtful I will see it in the BYOND Forum software any time soon, so if I could implement it myself(with some help, of course), that would be great. I'm not great with javascript(only used it a couple of times), so I could do it myself, but if it is something you could wip up in a quarter of the time, I'd be crazy to pass it by. | |
I'll have a go at it, but I'm not guaranteeing anything immediate (too busy adding guns to JA2, I've still got the Webley Mk.5 and the Webley-Fosbery revolvers to do :-P).
