So it was Hulk day for me today.
So before i went to see Hulk i was expecting some pure action mayhem...did i get what i wanted?
I certainly did. And my god was it awesome. Pure action to its limits. Loved it completely.
However, what the fudge is romance doing in hulk? I was literally "wtf-ing" in the cinema. I wanted to see more hulk screems and stuff -you know get in the hulk madness.
However, the love stuff did have some funny moments so it wasn't that bad.
A few of my relatives and friends complained about the CG, but i thought it was well presented. I didn't expect 100% awesomeness of the hulk graphically, but the detail was great, the facial expressions were spot on. It definitely made you feel like you were watching a true hulk in real life.
The guns, vehicles and machinery altogether were stunning.
The boss fights weren't too great...maybe because of the build up to the battle was pretty boring and vague. Nevertheless it was a pleasant to watch. There are several references to ironman, shield and other marvel like things so make sure you look out for them.
If you are hardcore action fan, or marvel fan or just someone that wants something good to watch, i suggest you go see Hulk in action.
Just so you guys don't waste time, don't bother waiting after the credits, there is nothing there...:[

Romance is a big part of the Hulks affliction. He gets angry over Betty, and he goes into his jolly green giant state.
Also, guys, you might want to stop waiting for the Avengers movie. Word is they're wanting to cast DiCaprio for Captain America. Brad Pitt as Thor doesn't seem too great either. Sauce EDIT: Thought you guys might like an insight into the Ultimate Marvel universe in regards to who they'd like cast if they were in a movie. I just uploaded these scans. 1, 2, and 3. (Of course, after that, Banner injects himself with the super soldier formula recovered from Captain America's blood that has been combined with the Hulk formula, and attempts to destroy half of Manhattan.) |

As for DiCaprio he's a good actor, but he just doesn't fit the part of Captain America.

Brad Pitt is a good actor. However, he tends to over exaggerate...
As for Di Caprio he is an awesome actor, especially in blood diamond. If he toughens up a bit i think he deserves the roll. |
personally i think dicaprio is a better actor, but pitt is not bad by a long shot. fight club is my favorite movie of all time and it would be awesome to see the two stars stand side by side as superheroes.
dicaprio, however, does not have the physique. he's just not big enough, no matter how much muscle he tries to put on, to be either cap or thor. he just doesn't have the bone structure. even if an actor is amazing at what he does, it's equally important for him to look the part. it's integral in the suspension of belief process. not once did i see downey jr as downey jr in ironman, i saw tony stark. while i don't think norton pulled it off as well, he didn't do a bad job of not only acting bruce banner but looking like bruce banner. and that's important in being bruce banner. in short, i think brad pitt could totally pull off cap. but dicaprio is just too scrawny. |
