BYOND Action releases new point reward system

For the next several BYOND Action events, we'll be trying out a new, point-based reward system. Our goal is to provide winners a number of different prize options, allowing them to pick what is most valuable to them.

The general idea is fairly simple: instead of offering single prizes for each event, we offer points. The points can be saved up and redeemed at the convenience of the player, for several different types of prizes. No longer limited to only BYOND Memberships, winners can choose to purchase items from several online stores.

Currently, because we're taking the system for a test run, we will only be giving out 10,000 points (equivalent to $100 USD). After that, we'll see how everything went and make changes as needed.

Expect to see this in action soon, as we're planning on having an event sometime next weekend to celebrate summer. Stay tuned!

What is the highest you will go on a price? And can it be a membership other then BYOND depending on the cost?

I'm willing to go as high as as many points I'm willing to award :P

If the cost is within the points you hold (100BAP=$1.00), I might be willing to consider buying something from a site not listed. However, I reserve the right to refuse to do so if the site seems unreputable, unsafe, unsecure, or is something I wouldn't want listed on my bill.
