I need ideas for my BYOND Magazine. I need some articles submitted, and I will also be offering free advertisement. If you would like to submit anything, you can page me, e-mail me, or just reply here.
Use some good articles from Dream Makers, though remember to give credits where due.

Hmm, I have an idea of a page that I can submit for an advertisement... what size do you want the image file and what extension would you prefer?
Considering the "official" BYOND Magazine was already a failure, I can't imagine why you'd want to try to start another one.

If it were up to me I'd consider putting together a blog site which periodically described and analyzed new games, making the general public more aware of them, and revisited older classics to remind people of their existence and the reason why they're classics.

The trouble is, its a royal pain in the butt to get people to write about stuff who don't want to. If there was some way to give people a decent incentive, financial preferably, then it would be a lot easier.

But the biggest problem is that there simply isn't all that much to write about. If all you have to offer is more programming advice from the experts, then you have nothing to offer that Dream Makers isn't already offering. Beyond that, what else is there? Game reviews, game discussions, advertisements, and things like that? There aren't enough worthwhile new games coming out that are worth mentioning. Most of the cool games on BYOND were made a few years ago, and there hasn't been a whole lot released since.

Bottom line, if this idea worked, there would already be one. But there's really very little to write about and even less people willing to write it on a regular basis.

And I'm already using pre-written articles from the guilds.
