Join us this month for the first "Mysteries from the BYOND" contest! As a participant, you'll need a full supply of cunning and intellect to unravel the thriller that lurks within the crevices of our community. And, if you play the game right, you might just win yourself the grand prize ... a brand new PlayStation Portable or 4GB iPod Nano! There will also be plenty of consolation prizes for the top performers, not to mention the inevitable fame and fortune that'll come with dominating a BYOND-sponsored event!

This contest is open to everyone in the community. However, due to the nature of the interactions -- clues will be hidden in both public and Members-only content -- you'll greatly benefit from having a BYOND Membership. Aside from showing your support for BYOND, Memberships help fund our project and prizes for contests such as these. So if you aren't a Member already, please consider signing up now.

What is the contest, you ask? That is the first challenge. The first clues have already been planted. Happy hunting!

Addendum
To be clear, we will be giving out various prizes to those who are the first to discover important clues in this mystery. More info on these prizes will come soon. The grand prize winner will be the first to solve the entire mystery. In order to make sure your discovery is counted as first, post your thoughts and any relevant discussions in this special forum:

That's been there since the old version of the website, you know, the all black and dark blue one. =/ You could be right, I could be not seeing something.

Only possible clue I've found so far is my pager being spammed with '(null)' prior to receiving a page.

Maybe someone else can take that and run with it, because I haven't been able to figure anything from it.

... Unless its a simple bug?

See addendum to this announcement: in order to qualify for a prize, you must prove that you were the first to discover a clue by posting about it in the Mysteries from the BYOND forum. With the creation of this forum, all discussion should move over there, and this comment thread will now be closed. Good luck everyone!
