OK, with one of my judges MIA, and another judge recently moved to Cali, I guess it will just have to be me and the 4th judge to determine the winners.
And the winners are *drumroll please*
Super Stick Skirmish of Superb Scrapper by Mecha Destroyer JD
Buglessness, 20/20
Playability, 9/15
Understandability, 5/5
Skin usage, 1/5
Miscellaneous, 1/5
---------------------
Total: 36/50
Judges comments:
"There is one chink I see in this games armor, which is the skin. It's a fairly intuitive skin, but everything in the window just seems sloppy and out of scale."
~Cheetoz
"Overall fun, even in singleplayer mode. Best though with a real opponent and a customized word list."
~Jamesburrow
Run by Bakasensei
Buglessness, 16/20
Playability, 10/15
Understandability, 3/5
Skin usage, 4/5
Miscellaneous, 3/5
---------------------
Total: 36/50
Judges comments:
"Run is a very enjoyable game which sports a minimalistic kick *** skin, simple but fun gameplay, and well done graphics. Play it now!"
~Cheetoz
"Takes a few moments to get used to the controls, despite being overly simple. I found it easiest to play if you change the default macros to two buttons that aren't so close together. While a fun game, it needs to work out some bugs and have a bit more logic put into it's control system."
~Jamesburrow
Mini Sub Game by Jeff8500
Buglessness, 12
Playability, 10
Understandability, 5
Skin usage, 3
Miscellaneous, 2
---------------------
Total: 32/50
Judges Comments:
"All-in-all a fairly decent game, worth a play or few."
~Cheetoz
"Fun, but needs some serious bug-control. Although not really found unless you look for them, to a cheater they are there."
~Jamesburrow
Anyways, with two games tied for first, I did a little tie breaker, and JD gets first as being the only multiplayer game.
Prizes:
JD: $20
Bakasensei: $15
Jeff8500: $10
It is requested these three people email me their paypal information. However, with me only getting paid every two weeks, and prom being this week, pay is not likely to come before May 9.
Also, JD, as you are first place, I believe that entitles SSSS to be hosted on DigitalBYOND if you choose. I really haven't worked anything out with him yet besides getting an "ok" so I guess I shall have to get in touch with him here soon as well to see how he Digi wants to do that.

Congratulations to the winners, and to James for pulling off the event. It didn't appear to go as smooth as you wanted, perhaps next time, eh?
|
Cool, yay I finally won something. The DigitalByond hosting add is pretty cool too, I might just have to update SSSSS and make it lobby-ish or something like Calus Corps suggested I believe.
|
I'm surprised you released the results so fast. There are people still waiting for the results of the Game in a Day 2007 contest.
|
It's pretty obvious that Starjian disappeared. However, according to http://www.byond.com/members/ ATPDevelopment?command=view_comments&post=38134#comments, Audeuro, one of the judges, has a zip of all the original entries for the GiaD. Rumor has it that a few people will be getting together to judge and post results, albeit probably without prizes.
|
Wow, i'm still pretty suprised that I got tied(Though if this is all the game I know why), the game only took like two hours max, and about a minute to think of how to make it ^^. But thanks, and i'll be sending the email soon.

Well, aside from GaiD 2007, I had never even heard of star-whatever. Which really makes me wonder where he even came from.
It's hard to trust a contest from a member that you've never heard of before, and I didn't expect much to come from him considering what I saw in his GaiD lobby. |

I would have judged... I sent it to all three of you.... Gah. I would say I'd go ahead and resend them, but now that I went ahead and announced the winners >.< |
