I mentioned in a comment on Guy's So It's Earth Day post the recent trend I perceive in "Human extinction porn".

Well for those who can't get enough, here's some more:

I actually recall reading about that while I was doing brainfood research on "what exactly is sapience?" a few months ago. It seems there were quite a large number of independent human-like species before then, and then, all of a sudden, there was just one species.

I blame the Greys. It's obviously the most plausible solution.

Yep, I think that's the meaning of the Bible verse, "Wouldst thou wind up even as those poor schmucks in Africa, back in the day?" (Not an exact quote.)
