I'm not as bias as you think. There are some pretty significant issues in BLN that I really want to see fixed. If I were to write a review in the perspective of a player and not an administrator, I could honestly say I would give BLN a 7 and discuss problems with the RP system, the training problems, as well as some other issues.
game itself. I think that's a fair request.

Woah woah woah...

And you claim your not biased?
Yeah, because I can acknowledge that BLN isn't perfect and there are a lot of things in it that ARE shitty.

By the way, dictionary man, it's "You're"

Oh, so you do read the dictionary then?

Nah, I can spell fine without one.
Alright after reading magic man's amazing comparisons, lets get this all straight.

Sure this game has great combat and icons, but they all go to waste cause 90% of players never even get the ones they want to. Even after all that training crap they might just get something even worse. So (quoting magic man) thats just like eating 10 piles of dog shit and you might get a chocolate muffin but you will probably just get another pile of dog shit.

Oh an the admins, Ive heard bad things about them but I really dont see them abuse that much <.<
eh, good review, I think Presentation should be lower though.
i think it is true that he did not show some of the good sides of the game but i am glad that he focused on the bad, if he buttered up the stale bread then no one would notice

I'm happy he only showed you the bad because it showed you exactly what is wrong with the game, its not biased apart from the login i think he was probably just angry when he wrote that bit, but the admin all need to be fired and new ones picked, it is rare that i see an admin DO work, buster in him self is a wild cannon he bans people for asking questions, laughing at people shit like that.

meh i think the random shikai should stay, why? because if it were not there everyone would have some overpowered shikai and diversity would be lost

the training with logs was ridiculous and now the current one is even more i logged on for a short time to play and as soon as i started training i thought 'oh this is interesting' and i macroed the stuff, i come back next day, you cant macro nor can you select the same thing twice hence no rapid clicking, now that made me leave yet again, now the training is just tedious long and theres nothing more entertaining to do

i think if you let killing NPC be sufficient training then the game would be tons more fun, ever played DBZ Onslaught? now that game is fun because the only really usefull training is to fight NPC which i must say is quite enjoyable atleast alot more than clicking at arrows for weeks on end

the icons are good and stuff MOSTLY i would give the game 3, why? good icons and a few nice codes not much though there not really out of the ordinary, if you let us train by killing NPC then i'd give you 7 if you fired the staff or made the work more i'd give you 10

I'm sorry, but I fail to see how logging in and managing the game isn't work. Really, GM's on big time MMO's do similar tasks that admins on BLN do, except they deal with a much higher population and are recieiving pay for their work.

I personally am a college student, and I simply do not have the time to sit there and constantly work on updates while keeping the game stable and still manage to get studying and homework done. Several people on the staff also have jobs and/or are college students who do not have time to mindlessly answer questions because of their studies or their real life jobs.

This is nothing more than a hobby; because we are not getting paid to be admins on this game, I think that the BYOND community's expectations on how much admins should work is far too high. You make it seem like we don't care about the game, and yet we take time to log in and maintain (update, provide help and temporary bug fixes, etc.) the game whenever we can.

There are more imporant things in the world than BYOND, and I'm surprised that people have trouble seeing that.

How much we/they abuse is a completely different story, though.
meh ignore that part i was quite annoyed when i wrote that but please pay attention to my suggestion
Meh Konrad I would definately give this game a 10 if they did all that, the owner is a good coder but he fails to realize whats wrong with the game since he probably never trained to bankai or arrancar shikai or some stuff like that...

yeah i doubt buster ever really trains he just codes and tells us to play if he knew what it was like training with such a dificult system he would make a better one
re·view
–noun
a critical article or report, as in a periodical, on a book, play, recital, or the like; critique; evaluation.

e·val·u·a·tion–noun
1. an act or instance of evaluating or appraising.

ap·praise
–verb
2. to estimate the nature, quality, importance, etc.: He tried to appraise the poetry of John Updike.

Appraisal is not limited to negative aspects of something. Stating that a review should only mention negative points in a game and gloss over anything positive is nothing short of asinine.
9 for presentation seems a bit overrated...7 or 8 at best. Most of the pixelart in this game looks like it was made by someone inexperienced who pillowshaded it all to hell. On a good note, MOST of it is original though.
overall 6/10 I can understand why the percentages are low, but lets be serious, spending half your life playing a game that ends up to give you total shit in the end, is very mutch so a pain in the ass, they seriously need to take off this blank shit..... and someone has already said. And instead of completly random shiki, seriosly, make it where its not 100% random. make it where you can choose the catigory you want, and then chose randomly from the catagory, that would definatly make the game more fun. Also, if the training system was a tad bit more fun, it would definatly greatly increase the popularity of the game. Other than those 2 pains in the ass, This game is overall a 9/10. Ps. some suggestions for fun training would be instead of boreing clicking , or meaningless crap like typeing on the arrow keys, Make a game out of the training. that will sure as hell get the current rateing of 6/10 up to atleast a 8/10 .
This isn't bias For yall who say it is because he praised GOA need to see the light. There almost isn't anything good worth mentioning in BLN. While you can clearly define your path and do what you want in GOA. So when you all say You should talk about the good things in BLN. This is pretty much it. Awsem in the

.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000001 Chance you get what you want. Yeah i compleatly hate BLN because of the grind. Most MMOs have less of a grind then this... And atleast everything that does have a grind like this is fun. *cough* flyff *cough*
This game is shit , Know why ? you can get spawn killed everywhere and dont tell me the old story 'its a PvP game' it isn't if you get spawn killed 8 - 20 times in a fucking hospital , and like 10 ppl are Gms , I never saw them online ...
This game lacks so much .
I mean like you can't even train in a safe place if you just started ! Omg
I have played BLN for like a month now and then quit. This was mainly becuase there was nothing new to keep me interested. Even events were tedious becuause if u lost you got nothing. Trining, well, its very tedious and if you have a life, when u are actualy playing BLN you are in the death box 40% of the time even at lvl 400.

Also adressing the shikai(s) thing they should ask you when u become a shinigami: What type of fighter are you?
Then in one box power, the next Ability ( think) and the last speed. This way although you might not get the exact shikai you are after it gives you a bigger chance and it also means that if you put all you exp points into one stat by accsident before shini/hollow you atleast have a chance to get a shikai worth playing with.
