This season, there are atleast 3-5 animes that are worth showing. I've got a few here which you may want to check out:
Code Geass R2:
- Lelouch strikes again in this season and the opener was pretty amazing.
If you are into Mecha and Death Note and intense action i'd recommend this.
Nabari no Ou:
- A ninja based anime -- NO! Not Naruto, it really is much more mature than naruto and the animation in this anime is the best i've seen a long while. Worth checking out, really!
Druaga no To the Aegis of Uruk
- This show got me a bit confused on the first episode...but the second episode really took its toll on me. It is an adventure type anime...really felt like i was watching samurai7...
Juushin Enbu-Hero Tale
- Superpower anime...The characters are very different and the storyline has some potential
Kurenai
- This anime is unique compared to the rest. I haven't come across this type of anime before...so it is hard to explain. What is that saying..."don't judge a book by its cover"?
Soul Eater
-A fusion of D.gray-man and Shaman King. Personally i think it is the next 'bleach'/'naruto'
Anyone watch the first episode's of them and see if you like it.

Go watch some decent anime. Hahaha. I don't see how Code Geass is shit, nor Nabari no Ou. Druaga no To the Aegis of Uruk has some potential too I am also a huge fan of D.Gray-man it rocks. How would you know if its decent or not just with one episode? Why should I watch episode 2, 3 or 4 when the first one was bad? I remember Naruto Shippuden. Hahaha, episode 40 and 25 of those was JUMPING THROUGH TREES, 5 of them WALKING THROUGH DESERT and the other 10 were "fight scenes" (which consisted of 10 minutes of flash back, 9.9 minutes of talking and 0.1 minute of fighting). I'd rather not waste that much time again waiting for a series to get decent, because lets face it. If the first few episodes are bad then chances are the rest will be (I have only ever seen one exception to this, Mai-HIME, episodes 1-8 were average, episodes 9-20 were decent, episode 21 was fucking epic, then rest were decent, if it was not for episode 21 then the series would have barely been worth watching). Also, the D.Gray-Man anime series sucks, badly. There was like... 15 episodes (the first 15) which slowly followed the manga, then 40 episodes of REALLY BORING fillers, almost as boring as the Naruto Shippuden episodes which consisted of the characters jumping through trees for 20 minutes. And then it tried to follow the storyline again, but did it slowly and badly... Like every other shounen I have seen basically. Hahaha. If you want good shounen then go watch One Piece. It knows what it is and doesn't try to be something else, and it is an epic story of manliness and pirates with moments that could make anyone shed manly tears (despite the fact that 95% of the time it is one big joke). |
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann>One Piece
Nabari no Ou is not Naruto. Give it a shot. |

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann>One Piece Gurren Lagann is like a bad rip off of Gunbuster. It has less of a story and is less manly (despite the fact that Gunbuster and Diebuster both had female leads) and only a fractionn as epic. Anyway, Gurren Lagann was nowhere near as epic or manly as One Piece. Sorry, but shouting senseless crap does not equate to manly. |

Except for maybe Soul Eater that list sucks. Even then, I suspect the quality of Soul Eater will take a nose dive after episode 3 (the manga did, and not it is boring). Also, I doubt Soul Eater will be the next Naruto or Bleach, because there are nowhere near enough chapters in the manga to make it run for longer than 24 episodes.
2008 has been one of the worst years for anime in a long time if you ask me.
