I'm back, and with a new review! I decided that it was about time I started doing reviews again, and so here's a new one off the shelf for everyone to sit back and enjoy. Duel Monsters Online by Kajika is a fan-game based on the Duel Monsters game from the anime Yu-Gi-Oh. As most DM coders know, card games are very extensive, and require a lot of time to code. Ecspecially when you have to code 200+ cards in to one game, add their effects, their attack/defense, star level, and pack name, so right off the bat that gives Kajika some respect from me.
In DMO(Duel Monsters Online), you first start out with a starter deck, then can go in and build your own deck(Max of 6), and duel with it. The main and only limit, is that you must have AT LEAST 40 cards, or else you can't duel, along with some card restrictions, like 3 cards of one type per deck, and some only allow 1 card per deck. If you don't know how to play Duel Monsters, or wish to just see the rules for fun, then Google it(I'm too lazy to type it all in, and hate Googling stuff. =P).
Along with the great gameplay, and awesome likeness of the actual game of Duel Monsters, DMO has a great look to it. The icons are very user-friendly. They look good, don't clash, contain one spriter's style, and have very well-made movements.
DMO also has many unlockables that you can unlock by winning duels, beating bots, playing certain cards, etc. These unlockables include but are not limited to certain places like the Shadow Realm, clothes like The Dark Magician's staff, and player icons like Mokuba, or different boy and girl icons.
Overall, DMO is a very great game. I saw rarely any faults in it, and it kept me addicted to the game for months to come. I give Duel Monsters Online by Kajika a well-rounded 8 out of 10.
My next review will be over a game by Elation, and God knows what the name of the game will be. He hasn't told me the name of the game he wishes me to review, and with Elly, you never know what he may call it.
