The confused situation involving the offical SS13 hub now seems to be resolved - the hub password has been made public for everyone. That being so, I've released the latest update to my version (download link) which uses the official hub, and has a few updates, including a new auxiliary engine, some config changes for voting options, and also implements Hikato's Sandbox mode.

I'll be releasing my source changes to the OpenSS13 SVN repository, also. It's still not absolutely clear how that will work, but if a consensus "core" version of the base source is made, I'll work to port my version so it's compatible with it.
Unfortunately I try to avoid all servers with Hikato playing when he has, "Special" powers. He seems to find a way to abuse in every round, and basically ruin it for everyone.
In traitor, he will kill the people who jail the traitor, he will release the traitor, give them items, basically making it impossible for the crew to actually win.

In Nuke, he will revive dead syndicates, uncuff cuffed syndicates, and kill those who stop syndicates. If the disk is too well hid for him and the syndicates to find, he will spawn another one. If the leader is dead, he will give the rest of the syndicates the nuke code.

If hes ever playing and OOC is enabled you will consistently hear about his abuses and what he does with his, "Special" powers within the game.
Yeah. It's great what with all these updates, but Hikato's not exactly the kind of guy you should associate with.
Since Hikato is one of the official devs now, it'll be hard to do anything with SS13 and not have some association with him. Not that I've every had a problem with him.

(Anyway, there's nothing built into my version that specially empowers him. If you don't like him, run your own server and don't give him Admin.)
Instead of new features and complexity added to the game I would love to see a remade interface, eliminating the entire right click system. With a small icon on the side maybe for Pull(Hand), and Examine(Question mark), Point(Pointer Finger). An eventual elimination of the verbs panel in favor of a HUD or separate window system would be nice as well. Also, an elimination of the HTML windows in favor of separate windows would fix many problems with the HTML system and probably vastly reduce complexity.
I thought the nuke code the devs get are only for the SB nuke.
