"I don't know how regular a feature this will be, but it would be nice to have some game news. I'd like to focus on games which are either new to the guild or still being updated. Developers should be encouraged to create Strategy games." - March 22, 2007

What a fool that guy was. Doesn't he realize that Tech Tree has been going on for a year now? Due to computer problems, this also happens to be the 50th Tech Tree! That means you all get off easy this year and can give me a combo gift. ;)

I was going to celebrate by going over some old news bits, but most of the aspects of my Where are they now? post still apply. I'm less of a tyrant, but Squeegy still has no sand and the puppy is whole. Post some attaboys and read on!

  • BYOND Strategy blogs should now be easier to navigate with the addition of a keywords box on the left. Trekking through over 70 posts in groups of 3 wasn't very fun, was it? The single rules post shows that I didn't get around to writing up review standards yet, but we'll ignore that for now. I had to do important things... like fill up blog space with a quote from the first Tech Tree again. ;)
  • Hedgemistress stated that she might be updating Manifesto! or "something similar". Hopefully, she'll give us a working download link so we can welcome it back to the guild... and, you know, play. ;)
  • Jon Snow is also back and designing yet another version of A Game of Kings. It doesn't sound like the design will be spectator-friendly, but I'll be glad to see an update. Of course, I've been reading the A Game of Kings II hub page every week and thinking it was still being worked on anyway. ;)
  • Mecha Destroyer JD released another update to Ultimate Strife. You should try giving him some feedback. I did. He made changes. If you don't, he'll listen to me too much and we know you don't play my games. ;)
  • Also nearing its anniversary is Acebloke's chess variant, Law of the Board. Acebloke stated that updates may be coming within the week. Various updates are listed, but the Camel pieces are probably the most interesting because they provide more variety to justify how this guild gets to keep the game instead of BYOND Casual. Muhuhahaha!
  • Cavad is working on a Haloclix game. Naturally, I'd like something without trademarked content, but I've always been curious about the Actionclix mechanics themselves. =)
  • Abra's member blog has been renewed. I have no clue if he's working on anything. For all I know, he had nothing to do with it.
  • I'm not sure if Miran94's virus game focuses on strategy or not, but Lummox JR said the word so I'm posting the link. It seems like it could be more of an action/sim thing like has been seen in other guilds, but whatever. ;)
  • My poll ended. I'll be working on a Risk variant. I wrote a somewhat long post about it. Read it. And download PathWrath 2. HA! You thought I forgot?

  • Got news? (Get it? It's vintage now.)
Congratulations on the anniversary!
Congrats! I enjoy reading your reports.
Congrats. I've been on BYOND longer than your posts!? What did I do without them?
