Been doing some work redoing the wonderful city of Shagock. I've taken a less... grassy... approach to it. The people of Shagock are about law and about smashing evil, and somehow nature doesn't fit into that agenda as much as bricks do. This screenshot is of the inside of the royal stables. The stall walls are padded, per suggestion of my girlfriend, as the royal knighthood care a lot about their mounts. The middle area will be used for saddles and other equipment, I'll need to add stable hands and a royal farrier, but that's all to come. Also shown are quickslots, which I have yet to bind to the number keys, and possible control or shift combinations of them, as well as the function keys for quick access. Quickslots along the bottom link to spells and abilities while the ones along the right are to weapons, shields, and potions. (physical items) Yes, in Maeva you can "sheath" your shield on your back, so it's out of the way when you need to use your hands for something else. Very handy, excuse the pun. In the top right corner, you can see the dynamically generated portrait with the hp and mana values listed in the blue and green bars. Below that is the group functions button. I have no other party members in this screenshot, but if I did, they would be listed along the side there, with their health and mana values as well. Clicking on each portrait allows you to issue orders or request information. If a group member is out of a sight, a green arrow is displayed pointing to their location. The group functions button allows you to invite new party members, disband the party, or issue orders to the whole group, including group formations. Above the player portrait is the inventory button, which opens up the inventory for access to items not listen in the quick slots. I've readded Deadron's pathfinding library which, I must say, is incredible, and incredibly useful for Maeva. Mobs now find their way around complex areas, opening doors as needed. (smashing them down if they're unable to open them and are in a hurry) Anyways, let me know what you think. I can still use help in mapmaking if anyone's up to it. The structure of the world pretty much allows for people to make whatever sort of map they want, and we can link it to the rest of the world via gateways later. Preferably, contact me via AIM on DerDragon if you're interested. ([email protected] works for MSN messenger as well... and I have an ICQ number, alas, it escapes my thought) |

Ponies!
|
Palomino warhorses to be more specific, I actually have ponies as well, in several colorations, just like horses :)

Perspective, YMI. =) The padding is hidden because it's on the wall you can't see.
It does look slightly odd, but oh well. |
Yeah, I would imagine that the padding would go all the way around the stall, not just on the wall opposite the door...
Heh, you know it's tough to find a fault in the work we've been shown when we've resorted to nitpicking on which walls should be padded...lol |
