At the moment the party button and window are none existant. And so is a lot of other, smaller windows (for crafting items, shops, trading and so on).

But, what do you think of it so far? And are the graphics... Too much for a game that doesn't actually make use of real graphics?
They look really cool...You can never go too overboard when it comes to improvements.
nice, i really like what your doing with it, its not just a input and output with a few buttons and the design is pretty awesome
Very nice! Great job.
I like. The main window reminds me of the matrix.
These are all just popup windows right (besides the main window of course)? If not that may be too many windows especially for people with small resolutions.

They are, but they can all be opened and closed at will, as well as minimized.
As for the screen resolution, it would ideally work at 1024x768, which is the most common screen resolution currently in use, but the game should look just fine running at a resolution of 800x600, with the exception of the buttons, as the images on them do not stretch or scale with the rest of the window, but this seems to be a feature BYOND is lacking and there is very little I can do about it.
If you don't even have a resolution that is at least 800x600 then I honestly doubt your computer could even run BYOND.

The only problem right now is that with larger screen resolutions the layouts buttons can look... Not very nice because BYOND doesn't scale images used in them like it does with the background. But again, there is very little I can do about that other than forcing the game to be played at the screen resolution I decide (which I don't intend on doing).
Scroll bars make small African children commit mass murder.
Yeah, it would be nice if buttons had the same stretch option as windows.

If you get rid of Anchor#2 the button won't resize but will reposition relative to the window. Still might look bad though.

Another trick is when you resize buttons to smaller than the image, the client keeps the image centered and cropped. Based on this, you could make each image have a lot of flat textured imagery around the central symbol. Then the symbol will look smaller at higher res but at least you won't see the default background around the edge of it.

Not much I can do about that, there is a lot of information that needs to be displayed, and I can't display it all on the screen at once. There is too much to display and most people don't have a screen resolution big enough to display so much at once.

Don't like scroll bars? Then get a better graphics card, monitor and use a massive screen resolution (the screen resolution I am using is actually twice the size of that first screenshot, so by setting the windows to full screen I don't see scrollbars!).

I tried to take something like this into account for the main window. Though it still doesn't look too great it works decently up until about a screen size of 800x600. But at that point the map becomes too big and overlaps other elements of the interfact (this is due to the world.view size, but I can't change world.view as the screen size is changed).

Basically, the game is made to be played with a 1024x768 screen resolution (but works decently with 800x600). And if you have a smaller resolution then I'd advise getting a computer that isn't 15 years old :[
I dig it
