I think this was a more-than-fair review. I believe it was on an overall 2D gaming expectations score, not simply just what's around BYOND today... so a 7.2 on graphics is really fair, considering that a lot more could've been done to make them more "eye candy", but then again I don't believe that is the major focus of the game.

I would've broken down into a PvP and a PvE ratings system instead of just general gameplay, but the point got across.
Alright, fair enough, but if you wanted to compare BYOND games to 2-D games in general, all of these ratings would get 0.5 below.

GOA isn't trying to get the point across for eye candy, Dan just happened to know a few talented Pixel artists. And if he wants to nerf the score due to graphics, again, why did DMO get an 8.9?

And I agree. He should have broken the PVP aspect of the game down. But he didn't. I dont see what point got across other than that the game recieved a 9.0 for gameplay, but got a 7.2 overall.

I dont see how that adds up.
I used to love GOA So much. But GOA Is so fucking annoying now. Moves are whored to a stupid extent. People get away with EZing for about 24 hours. You lack Administraion. Since I've started playing again. I've been Raikiried everytime I die. O_O Is there another move on the Skill Tree? I would talk on your Forum but I don't want to seem like a proper bitch.
GOA gameplay should be like 8 and Graphics like 9. Okay. Going to go train now.

Uchiha Hiro Effortlessly Assasinated Uchiha Kaishi with the Rakiri!!!
You took 433 Wound damage from Uchiha Hiro!
You took 29726 Stamina damage from Uchiha Hiro!
You took 32 Wound damage from !
People can't ez 24/7. The EZ flagger is pretty sensitive.

Raikiri has a chance at 1 hit because its an assasination jutsu. Maybe you should get your RFX up.

Though it shouldn't shushin. o_o

Yeah, but most of them focus them into 2 stats, which is what I meant. I actually played it for quite a while to get all the facts straight, stopped at level 20.

Believe it or not all 4 stats are super important now, Con and Str got huge revisions and are relevant now. Also youll notice if you make an akimichi youll focus on Str/Con most likely, Haku will focus on Rfx/Con usually, etc etc. There are actually lots of different stratagies.

One thing I'd like to know is why limit the jutsu and why would you buy them?? ok RP a bit here *I'm a Ninja, I decide i want to get a new jutsu what do i do?* A:)go see the clan elders/head to learn something new B:) visit the academy to see if any of the senseis have any valuable info C:) select form a list like ordering at McDonalds... I understand needing requirements to use them but Honestly BUY THEM??? and way too limited on the jutsu you only have soo many and they'll get spammed, and one last thing while I'm attacking your jutsu how does EVERYTHING home? i mean Heatseeking Fireballs?
7.2?
It definately deserves better, there are only 2 real problems with the game
1) The servers (this cant be helped much, the hosts are doing a good job but you should work on finding a couple more)

2) Some very unfair techniques, even if raikiri is an "assasination" jutsu, a one hit move that cannot be avoided unless you have more rfx than that is just stupid, and of course, genjutsus, cant avoid them, and once your caught in one your pretty much dead.

Yes both raikiri and genjutsus can be avoided if you have high int/rfx, but not everyone trains those, better yet both of those (sounds like the game favors uchihas >.>)

Raikiri is an assassin technique that is meant to be interrupted to be avoided. Any attack on the opponent who is charging this move.. or simply walking out of view will render it useless.

Nothing homes. Not a single technique in the game. The game runs on a projectile system where a great deal of techniques get shot in a straight line that is angled to go from player A to target B. If anything it makes less sense to have to fire each move in one of 4 directions . (There are actually some homing techniques but only those which had the same characteristics as on the show. Come on guys keep the criticism legitimate)
Great Rating!

When someone fires a jutsu and you move in several directions and around buildings and they still hit that is homing.....

Bingo, and the system in place is not like that. What dont you understand? Projectiles fire in a straight line. Just because i have managed to program something more complex than 0,90,180,270 doesnt mean its homing.
Katons aren't homing. I dont see why he keeps saying they are.

I never stated that Katons in particular home the word I used was "Fires" meaning to launch, not everything homes but there are quite a few that don't follow the standard 8 directions, and yes i am well aware there are more then 8 dimensions of directions but when someone uses something at a decent distance enough to where you can see it coming and move and still hits you THAT is homing whether or not you admit to it
