Ive recieved a couple reviews that i wasnt all that thrilled about. Reviews need to have all the basic criteria that makes up a game at LEAST (Graphics,Gameplay, pros, cons etc) I dont want to see 10/10 or 1/10 reviews without good reasons!! its insulting to the game owner and conversely really suspect when i get a review with a super polarized rank like this with no points to back it up! Also im going to have to insist that future reviews have a little blurb about Originality, how original is this game, how fresh is the gameplay and is the source clean. Originality is a key issue to all people in the guild and also i would have to insist you post at least have a screen shot as well.
In summary, a balanced review with pros and cons, evaluations of the basic aspects of a game, originality evaluation and a screenshot. Also i recomend you guys install firefox2 for its built in spell check or put your reviews through word before posting, its really annoying to approve reviews where i have to fix your spelling errors first! These reviews mean a LOT to the owners of these games, please put lots of effort in!
Also ill soon be making the reviewing function available to all members, this should help incentivate people to support byond ;).

Uh, I think you might want to cut down on the amount of reviews being posted to like once a day or something. Because like 3 reviews just got posted with in short order of each other. You know, give them some time to sink in. I didn't even notice there was a zen/pokemon review.

A big issue is your probably right i should leave a 2-3 hour gap between allowing a submission :S |
So If I provide a well-written, well-described and accurate review of Naruto: GOA it will be submitted?

I figure 3 a day is a good maximum. Don't kid yourself. Reviewing is a hot item right now but the thrill will wear off soon and everyone will find something else to do. At which point you'll wish you had some reviews stored up for later. Here's a moral question for you. Is it right for you to judge whether a review of your own game is fair before posting it, while other people's games get no such consideration? I'm sure Falacy believes the review for his game was bias. All things considered, you should either turn down ALL reviews that seem overly negative or overly positive, or you should accept ALL reviews regardless. |
