A couple years ago, I did something that was supremely stupid, even when measured against my own well-established record of stupidity. I had a pleasant little chat world that got plenty of drop-in visitors when I hosted it weekly. Somehow I got a bug in my behind and decided I could rebuild it better. I began drastically rearranging the code, the map, and the icons. Without first backing up the fully functional version of the project.

A couple days ago, at work, I found a stack of CD's that were not work-related. Over the years I'd brought them in to work as "off-site backups" in case my house burned down, or whatever (God forbid). Browsing through them, I realized there was a very good chance that with a little bit of effort, I could restore my crippled project to its former "glory."

I believe I can now say that effort has been a success. If so, then we will probably have some nice events for Dream Makers readers in the near future.

Speaking of Dream Makers, have you noticed that we've been updating on a regular schedule with lots of new content? The past few days have been an exception, not just because of the new website layout's growing pains, but also because we're trying to distribute posting responsibilities among our staff and I configured the wrong stuff so that they couldn't post. But stick with us -- the best is yet to come!

P.S. Here's a hint about the project, for those of you who may recall it:

All I remember about your project is that I was always locked out of every room that looked interesting. Except the bathroom.
Is that a mad hatter I see in that screenshot?
Same here, Foomer.
Are our icons still in there? That thing holds the only fan art I've done. Granted, it's bad fan art, but at least it's based on Luka Delaney's Kagerou.
Yep, the icons are intact!
Good times, good times. :)
Awesome!
Now, will you be letting BYOND Members into some of those restricted rooms? :P
