Isn't this system here for a review-like-purpose? When Data admitted his point behind it was to show Yurg up (Comment-editing pending). A player review forced on hubs is understandable, but when folks with grudges abuse this to take stabs during flame wars, a review of other sorts is needed.

Yurgeta, the magic of it all is that you don't have to use BYOND's hub for games. You could create your own and use PHP and world.Export() to do the same thing, all the while quelling those that say bad things about you. If you're on BYOND's hub, you obey by BYOND's rules. If you don't like it, you know your other options.

But every game looks scary and filled with idiots for newcomers. Join any RPG, and see people discussing game or player related issues, which you've never heard about. Folks with coloured texts and special powers. The entire setup is anti-newbie, and that's in most games, not just SGO.
But I can say for a fact, that SGO had (not sure if it still does) a newbie greating staff. Player logs in for the first time, and we tele to them. Give help links, answer questions, hints and tips, etc etc. And sure, we all look like power-mad freaks to newcomers, but like in most situations, you need to get to know the other folks better before forming lasting opinions of them. (Not directed at anyone in particular here). | |

Where are these rules? Also, they say that because they must, but they do not have any method that is even vaguely feasible to do so. As well, I fail to see how this is even remotely relevant to this discussion. Now you just seem to be mud-slinging and nothing more.

Ehm, off the top of my head I could name a few 'vaguely feasible methods'. Warn users who are, at the moment, using stolen icons and code. Hard to prove that they're stolen? A staff edit to the games hub could put a 'Game May Be Using Stolen Icons or Code' message there. People would then be more carefull when working with people related to that particular production. Or how about right of ownership? Here on Byond that doesn't seem to exist! I believe that this is rather relevant, considering it's something the owner has to put up with, and in this case, put up with it daily. If you happen to know the history behind the various attempted SGO rips, you'd laugh. | |

data constantly annoys people with it, not just me.. thus he was banned thus this review exsisted. with 1 purpose, to slag me off. how i run my game should be upto me, if he dosnt like it he dosnt have to play it, but to give a review on the basis of hatrid for someone is just pathetic and shouldnt be allowed | |
First off, my penultimate goal when I join a non-anime science fiction game I like is to help the owners try to make it better. Unfortunately, most if not all of the others I've met so far are either too dense to reason with and/or unwilling to learn. My only regret is that I keep helping people -- if you were to better yourself I would gladly code some stuff for you, and I wouldn't even ask for anything in return. REALLLLLY STA, SGU, Attis SGO rip, GATDUDES SGO Rip. all which u attempted to take control of as OWNER.. ironic how u clam u can outdo SGO yet sofar all uve done is attempt to STEAL games of people by promissing "top class work" when all it is is buggy as hell u promiss big, delive little. u even come to my own message board, apologiseing to me, yet u still continue trying to insult me and crap.. funny how the tide turns data.. | |

The entire reason BYOND Staff made this review system and these guilds is to require less manpower, so they could focus on other tasks like working on BYOND 4.0. You're complaining about a system that was designed to give the community the ultimate decision. They have appearantly agreed with me, so now you're pissed off that they did and want it removed. Fact of the matter is, this review is posted on the hub where everyone can see it.
It is Not a un-biased review of the Game. It's an opinion on the owner, written by someone who is 'Out to warn others'. While the sentiment of warning others is heartwarming, the review itself is of a low class, and should either be edited or removed. Perhaps a review of the game, follow by a sidenote on the owner is more suited? | |

So far you only saw SGTRW, which was in the early stages of 4.0 and as such I didn't know fully what I was doing yet. The point of this review has simply been put, and CLEARLY proven. Yurgeta, by your unrelenting idiotic posts trying to disprove Data's theory of your bad game management, you have only furthered why I will personally never attempt to log in, and will never give any good referrals to friends of mine about it. Although you have made your own rules on your game, it's quite clear that your unorthodox method of ruling "your" game isn't too popular, and that has been addressed in the review. As you don't want people to criticize your own way of governing, if you will, your game, Data most likely dislikes the way you have decided to start a flame war on his review. No one really cares what you have to say, but by opening your mouth you made it easier for many byond-ers today to make the decision to veer away from SGO when looking for a game to have fun in. That is all. | |
