Two pairs of notable YouTube directors square off in an epic adventure so exciting that you'll forget to ask the question, "So what were the Old Adventures of Ben and Jared?".
Starring Ben Mallahan, Jared Reilly, and Nic Morden from "Gamers", and Luke Barats, Joe Bereta and Caleb Strine from "Barats and Bereta .com".

was really funny.
|
I didn't enjoy it much, but it's better than 99.9% of stuff on TV, so good job.
|
Was pretty funny.
All your videos have a certain theme to them..it's like a corny theme, but that's used on purpose, that kind of adds to the humor. |
OMG!!! THE INTERN WAS THE NINJA KID AND NOW HES A LITTLE WUSS!! [/Spoilers]
I figured someone should point about all of the relevant plot twists, you know, for those who don't get them. |

I'm glad that people are able to recognize the "style" of my videos. Dixon wrote: OMG!!! THE INTERN WAS THE NINJA KID AND NOW HES A LITTLE WUSS!! [/Spoilers] Yeah, he is a *great* actor. He was so awesome in Gamers that I called him up to play the role. |
The video is pretty good, but you increasingly remind me of Andy Samberg. I don't like Andy Samberg.
But, pretty good. I liked the random swording. Random swording is always good. I'm guessing by the comments that it happens a lot, which means I need to watch more of your videos. Keep up the good work, et al. |
He is pretty good, the characterizations were vastly different, I was very impressed.
If you're ever looking for actors for any reason, I'd love to audition for one of your shows. [email protected] We can always talk more later of course. |

I'm not really a member on these pages, but these videos definitely catch my eye. Good job making them.
BTW, I think the actor, Jared, is a gem in your videos. His acting always makes me laugh. |

If you have an easy way to make it to Washington (we typically shoot in either Blaine or Spokane) then I'd love to have you be involved in something in the future. The Edwin character in Gamers was written with him in mind. |
I like Gamers a lot better but this video was still okay though. Probably the the funniest part to me was hearing a sped up version of the Nadrew song in the background during the fight;unless you've used that beat for other songs.. :P

Impressive, SilkWizard. I enjoyed watching that movie actually. It's allot better then quite a few movies I've seen on youtube, and as someone pointed the themes are a bit corny or something, but they are still a good laugh. And Jared needs to let me in on how to get a good deal on a sword.

*Quick zoom in*
I liked it. *Quick zoom out* In the sword fight scene, was that a remix of the Nadrew song playing or just a small sample? |
Looks good. Definitely a lot better than most other YouTube videos. You're on your way.
But now I must ask... Was the end song in this based off The Nadrew Song, or was The Nadrew Song based off of an older song? |
About the Nadrew Song questions:
Many of the melodies used in that song were actually composed about a month beforehand for my entry into a short film festival, found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=188onWj0VvM The inclusion of those melodies in "New Adventures" is an intentional throwback to that short film, as it was the last major collaborative project that Luke Barats, Joe Bereta and myself worked on. Not that anyone is going to make that connection; but I like layering my videos with stuff like that. Plus, it's just a kick-ass melody. |
I just think it's cool that you filmed a video with Barats and Bereta. I'd have to say this was actually more interesting than your pilot, that Jared guy is a pretty decent actor for this kind of thing too.
