Does the pope(isfizzy) approve of gay marriage?
Obviously.
I don't have to change my mind!!! That's what you don't understand!! Your way of thinking is not the only way! I have my set of beliefs and I stick to them, and I don't follow any religions. I'm not scared of gay people either, I just don't believe in gay marriage. And since you hate so many people, why not just kill yourself? Save us all of your knowitallitis.
Once again, Lord of Light is right and Popisfizzy is wrong:
"Pope Benedict lashed out Friday at Canada for allowing same-sex marriage and abortion, saying the policies resulted from Catholic politicians ignoring the values of their religion."
Because it's people like me (i.e. the non-homophobic, antiracist, antireligion people) that are the only reason people should keep going on. I know god damned well my way of thinking isn't the only way, nor is it the only right way. There is no right way to think. There is just stupid ways to think (your's) and smart ways to think ( the non-homophobic, antiracist, antireligion way).

Also, brilliant word. Did you make that up all by yourself, 'cause it's bloody brilliant? But, I must say, my "knowitallitis" (Which is far from true. There are numerous things that perplex me, like the way idiots like you think, a ton of mathematics, a lot of high-level physics like quantum theory and string theory, etc.) is still far better than your total-and-complete douchebaggary/dumbassery.
There is just stupid ways to think (your's) and smart ways to think ( the non-homophobic, antiracist, antireligion way).

Says you.

And obviously I made up a word for the sake of argument. We all know its not a real word, but lets face it. You'll never admit to being wrong and that's why you're so god damned stupid.

And how exactly is that going to ruin the economy?

Reading my post is always good, I listed a small few things, not a lot of them. It's known fact that Labour is always harsh on spending.
Oh, I have admitted to being wrong. No one is ever eternally right, regardless of how intelligent the may or may not be. What I'm not going to admit to being wrong about is with gay marriage. That makes about as much sense as saying two atheists can't be married, or two black people can't be married. You're the same kind of idiot who, fifty years ago, would've said this:

"I'm all for being against mixed marriages, I've got nothing against negro people but the marriage thing is where I draw the line. I'll kill myself when my grandkids grow up in a world where mixed marriage is the new norm."

and said they were eternally justified.
Cosidering I'm mixed, that's a pretty crappy way to put it. I'm sure one day there'll be gay marriages, just hoping it doesn't happen in my life time.
I wasn't aware of that, but your mindset puts you into the same category as them.
The internet is much easier to read when you adopt the viewpoint that anybody interjecting an edgy viewpoint is only doing it to troll.
I'm not doing it to troll, and being pro-gay marriage is hardly edgy, especially on BYOND. Light's stupidity is just pissing me off.
I didn't intend to troll, I rarely get in these arguments anymore but for once I just felt like putting in my view. I've really got nothing against fizzy, just it's annoying sometimes with BYOND when people never seem to think they're wrong, not saying he was, but anwyays. Time to call it a night.
If I was elected Prime Minister (I'd be a horrible one), I'd legalise homosexual marriage.

And before anyone else replies, this is not going to turn into a heterosexual verses homosexual OR a religion verses non-religion argument.

Well good! There's nothing wrong with a debate; just keep the argument out of it and even an ordinarily hot topic like this can be much more bearable to read. :P Even if one person finds the other's beliefs maddening, it's still not necessary start attacking the other person. Whether you're trying to change someone's mind or just trying to explain your own opinion, keeping your words respectful will go a long way toward encouraging a peaceful, more interesting debate. I've already had to learn about this the hard way elsewhere.

I covered that one on MSN.
Tiberath says: It's not possible to change someone's opinion.
Tiberath says: All you can do is enlighten them. Yelling and wishing death doesn't do it, I'm afraid.

Reading my post is always good, I listed a small few things, not a lot of them. It's known fact that Labour is always harsh on spending.

I forgot to mention: More computers for schools means, he wants every year 9 - 12 student to have their own personal computer at school. That's fairly expensive, considering there was 120 year 12 students at my small rural city secondary college. And our secondary college was one of three in the area, albeit the largest.

Put the average cost of a computer for school to be $1500.00 dollars.
Only laptops at the school used the wireless network. So you have to add fire-wire and Cat5 cables out to the new buildings they have to put in the school to house the computers. Add in the additional necessity for a good security system to make sure the computers stay safe. Along with the vandalism averaging that 3 computers a year are damaged or destroyed.

Looking at the secondary college I went to alone, it's looking fairly expensive.
I didn't intend to throw out insults but that whole you twat thing through me off.
Rudd won't fuck up the economy any more than Howard has tried to. Really, there's not much we could do to screw things up in the middle of a resouces boom.

Honestly, the only reason things were going half decently during Howard's reign is because of all the reforms Keating set up.

Howard took an environment custom-built for a good economy, and then he screwed up education and healthcare as much as possible - the result being that, sure, 90% of the population is employed, but far more of those are working lower-paying jobs and more of those are casual or part-time. (The official unemployment rate is below 5%, yes. The actual /jobless/ rate is ~10%, as far as we know - the government changed how they collect unemployment statistics. Long-term unemployed now aren't counted. Why? Because it makes the stats look better). Add that to the rapidly increasing cost of living, and things weren't going too well.

I'm honestly scared to death that hospitals are going to start falling apart this term (thanks to Howard's mismanagement), and Rudd will take the blame in popular press. Cue swing back to the people who screwed them up in the first place...

Oh, and anyone opposing gay marriage is officially an idiot. About the only argument I've seen which makes any sense is that 'marriage' is a religious concept and governments shouldn't interfere with such concepts. Fine, I don't have a problem with that...

...except that governments give couples certain benefits for being married. If marriage were to be a religious institution that governments shouldn't control, they shouldn't recognise marriages at all in law. The only thing that should be recognised would be a civil union - so couples could get married if they wanted, they'd also have to get a civil union in order to receive the benefits granted to couples. And, guess what, civil unions should, in such a world, allow homosexuals.
