Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker looks dissapointing

It does. It seems to be missing everything from DQM and DQM2: Tobis' and Taras' adventure. Some things I've noticed -
1) Most BOSS Monsters are missing, and they've grouped them into other groups. No more BOSS Group :'[

2) Watabou and Warabou seem to be missing from the game. Which means that Tobi, Tara, Milayou and Terry will probably be missing, too.

3) Mystery Egg Monsters aren't included. No Kagebou, Lamia or Dimensaur.

4) Most of the BOSS Monsters aren't there. Some I noticed off the bat were Dracolord(Human Form), Hargon, Sidoh, Genosidoh, Baramos, Mirudraas, Mirudraas2, DeathMore and DeathMore2(although they do have DeathMore3), Ogrodemir and Orgodemir2, and my favorite brothers, Darkdrium and Durran.

5) No Kingdom of GreatTree, GreatLog, DeadLog, DeadTree and others.

There's more, but I'm too saddened by this monstrosity of a game. It doesn't deserve the DQM title.

Elation	I only had DWM, but I bloody loved it. I still play it. My most prized monster is an +51 Rainhawk with big bang, mega magic and all the best ice and fire moves.

Mine would have to be my +79 GoldGolem. All I remember him having is Mega Magic, Big Bang, Sacrifice, HealUsAll(I think), and some other deadly moves. Man, I wish I could WiFi with that game...

Vermolius	What you don't realize is that this is DQM not DWM. Dragon Quest 8 was a big change from Dragon Warrior 7. They started changing names and enemies. DQM is built to match DQ8. DQM isn't half bad, but you'll miss the old DWM games. The thing that bugs me the most is the lack of breeding monsters with a friend.

DQM isn't half bad, but you'll miss the old DWM games. The thing that bugs me the most is the lack of breeding monsters with a friend.

I thought DQ=DW, but they started to change the name to match the Japanese name for fans?

SpeyMan	Don't be afraid of change. I certainly wasn't pleased when the same thing happened to DQ8, but you can't be afraid of change. (Besides, going off the same concept every game leads to the creation of Madden games or Final Fantasy) Though, I like Joker's new system of doing things, it's fresh. Though it won't top DWM.

Dead_Demon	Yeah, but the thing that bugs me is that some things shouldn't change. While I can part with no more BOSS class, there is a serious lack of BOSS monsters. Also, most monsters that were in DWM/DWM2 are missing from DQM:J If they'd have kept most of the monsters and everything, I'd be fine with it. Also, FF should go back to the old style of battle. ATB ftw.
