Google has released the SDK of "Android", their mobile phone OS so that you can start developing applications today.

This gives a great headstart to developers, meaning there will likely be great applications released before you can even have an android in your hands. If any of you are interested in creating apps for it, but don't see the monetary incentive, check out this great contest being run by Google.
