Hat tip to Instapundit, I've just found out that the writers' strike in Hollywood has caused some casualties. The new sitcom Back To You, which is one of my favorites this season, has halted production and won't return from hiatus as planned; I do hope it has a next season though. So that news actually sucks.
On the plus side, the strike has also killed a guest musical appearance by Amy Winehouse on SNL, which will spare either my TV or myself a horrible hammer-related injury. Maybe if we force her into rehab she'll go away. Gads her voice annoys the crap out of me.

If House gets cut short drastically there will be hell to pay, it's the only show I really watch on TV anymore.

House won't get cut. It gets way too many viewers.
I can understand Back to You getting cut. Number one, FOX was probably biased against him because of how strongly Kelsey Grammer was tied to NBC. Number two, FOX cuts just about everything. Family Guy earned FOX millions upon millions of dollars, and FOX cancelled it. They brought it back after realising how frickin' stupid they are, but that's the only time they've ever actually realised how frickin' stupid they are. |

Weren't they also the ones who ran the Firefly series, but canceled it because they thought it wasn't that popular, then years later the DVDs were released and ended up being a huge hit? |

The very same. They really have some issues, then. I watched the first episode in the Firefly series, and I was immediately addicted. I ended up watching five of them before I forced myself to stop. Stupid FOX. |
i never watched that show or gave it a chance because that She-devil from everybody loves raymond is on it.

Firefly was a hit right off the bat, just not a huge breakout beat-the-other-networks-to-death hit. And that's not a surprise, considering 1) they screwed with the episode order which confused the crap out of new viewers, and 2) they gave it the infamous slot-o'-death where apparently they're obligated to cancel everything that touches it. If Fox had any brains in their heads they'd compare slot-o'-death ratings to their other shows' ratings from the same slot, based on which ones became huge cult favorites and how quickly. It's clear that Brisco and Firefly were clear winners in that slot, and for that matter Sliders was no slouch either.
