Who else is ready for this game? I've been waiting for it for a while now, and am really excited for it's release. It has been getting decent press(Between a 9.0 and a 9.5 on average), and that's great to hear. It's odd, really, I hear people who gave it a 9.5 talk like it's the greatest platformer they've ever played, but I don't understand how it isn't higher. Call me one to look a gift horse in the mouth, but I seen game recently rate higher, and I just feel like RnC could have a higher score if it was a game with the same production quality but a FPS. It seems like FPSs get better scores, even when the quality isn't as good.

I suppose this is a reflection of what is currently popular. FPSs are a dime a dosen, but platformers are growing ever more rare these days, and half decent ones don't come along much. I feel like nobody takes this into consideration. Then again, I haven't played the full RnC, so I have no clue what score it really deserves. I'm opening my mouth only to make room for my foot.

Anyone have any clues what online abilities RnC will have? Dreadlocked had some basic deathmatch and whatnot, but I would love online co-op. The co-op in Dreadlocked was great, but was single console, split screen only. I guess I'll find out later tonight.
It has no online whatsoever, Insomniac decided they would just focus on the Single Player part of the game as they believed it was the most important part of the game. They also believed that's what the fans would have wanted.
For me RnC really doesn't have too much replay value without the online mode, and it takes a chunk out of the game. I have no idea what insomniac is blabbering about.
Really? I only played the online of Dreadlocked once. And that was when I replayed it a few months ago on my PS3. I didn't really like the online play either. I felt it was lacking, but then again, I don't see deathmatch as a good game mode in general(there might have been CTF modes, but I didn't stick with the online past a day).

I can't blame them for leaving out online, honestly. It was clear that they knew how to do it(See Resistance) but I would venture to guess that few people played the past RnC games online. Co-Op would have been great, though, as no PS3 game currently has online Co-Op, and RnC has great Co-Op offline. I think online would have been more popular in the new one because of the kinda "native" online the PS3 has. My PS3 is always connected to the Internet, and I check the PSN every Thursday night. So I don't feel bad about taking a game online on my PS3 like I did with my PS2(I don't think my PS2 slim ever went onto the Internet, and my fat PS2 only went online one time).
"I hear people who gave it a 9.5 talk like it's the greatest platformer they've ever played, but I don't understand how it isn't higher."

It won't be higher because of Mario Galaxy i think...it may be the best platformer on PS3 but not against all consoles.

Ratchet and Clank looks solid though so its deserving of that score.
Yea, Co-Op online probably would have been nice, but I did enjoy the online play in UYA, and Deadlocked. But it was lacking in some parts.

Guess I just gotta wait 'till I play the actual game, it might actually be great even without the online play.
