I just dont know what i have to do to get you people to stop attacking my game.

What proof do i need that your accusations that GOA is low quality are false?

The graphics are great
The balance is fantastic
Theres actually lots of player builds possible and systems in place to keep you busy.
Theres no pbags or stumps or anything stupid like that.
Missions, Wars, chuunins, high quality skills, fun combat. Pvp, team oriented.

You just hear that and go, Its just a crappy naruto game. What do i have to say or do for you guys to make arguments based on reality as opposed to making ignorant generalizations?

Okay you know what, I really didn't want to knock GoA in this post. It was just kinda brought up. I really don't like the game but whatever apparently plenty of people do, and the point of this post was to clear up some ideals that masterdan was throwing around.

I'll refrain from talking about GOA anymore, I guess I was just having fun with me being called out by this kid.

And Rinkuu, stop being a n00b or I'll only let you play a saibaman.

I'll tell you how to get people to stop attacking your game, and yourself. Stop mentioning and bragging about it all over byond.

At this point it's pretty clear that, aside from the people that actually play the game, no one gives a flying fuck about it. So why do you keep trying to justify it everyone? You said it yourself "I don't care what byond thinks, just my fans", well stop throwing around byond then, and thinking you deserve to be treated specially because you made a Naruto game.

You may not like that idea, you may even try to argue against it, but hey it's the truth. No one cares, and no one likes being told what the "right" way to do stuff is like this, and that you deserve wide respect for making a Naruto game.

This entire thing started by that post that attacked my game out of the blue. Then people like TNN came in and started taking the guys side calling my game trash. Blame that on me all you want but I did not start this. If TNN wants to act mature he can not call other peoples games trash. Acting like im the bad guy after all the random attacks is just bullshit.

Than YOU be the mature one and ignore it, instead of adding fuel to the fire. I suppose I should have added that in my orginal post, but that would also help your situation a great deal.

Actually if we want to go into it, IcewarriorX wrote a rant post on Teka13's blog for some reason and my unfinished game was the only highlight of the post. Apparently you were offended and started saying my game would never be finished and bashing it, so I simply retorted.

I don't like GOA but I usually keep it to myself unless undeserving bragging is brought up, but that's my stand on anything.

My point though. Goodluck getting the game out. I personally have lost faith in the byond community.

Never have I seen a good anime game come out in 4 years. The ones that allegedly did come out did so while i wasnt on byond and deleted itself. How can so much time go by and there be nothing interesting going on. Hm? Im to take it seriously that just as i release a game after waiting 4 years and getting fed up with the low quality that one is just around the bend? im skeptical. Ive been hearing hype for game after game for years now. And none of them ever come out. Its annoying, it makes me really pissed off to hear from all these developers, and their big opinions and condescending attitudes. And not a single person will put in the time to release a game. Its not that im annoyed at TNN specifically. Im annoyed at the entire attitude of the community. You all can do better, you all look down on everything, but i dont see anybody helping code anything or getting anything released. Im not as competitive as you all think, im just pissed off that byond was made a laughing stock and youve been here what TNN? you claim 7 years? Doesnt it drive you crazy? That i leave byond and come back expecting an interesting naruto game and all there are is Nbotls rips? How come nobody else has released anything worthwhile?! Huh?

There were a few worthwhile games released within the 7 years I've been here.

Lexiconomy, Bombard, anything made by SSGX, Dragon Warrior Online, anything made by Lexy (aka Hedgemistress), Laser Wars, anything else made by Leftly, DarkeDungeon, MLAAS, Tanks, anything made by the DDT team, Morte, etc...

There are actually more than I could name off hand, but as far as anime games go it's been a community of children for the longest time (and for the most part they/we were very uneducated with the way BYOND works). I think just recently BYOND members over 16 have gotten into anime, not to mention that we multiplied our user base by ten fold. BYOND has had its ups and downs throughout the history I've been a part of, I've even left a couple times. BYOND is getting much better at this, but for the longest time it was very hard to find the right resources to learn from so most people took up rips as easy access. Very few knew the "Your First World" or "A Step BYOND" libraries existed, actually I just recently discovered them myself.

Back when it was me, Dracon and Haroki running the DBZ scene games were fun... But in the same sense that GOA is now to other players, there was no other standard to compare to so they were the best. After playing other MMOs such as Warcraft, looking back at these games that used to be "fun" makes it just seem like a waste of time. That phrase was actually in no way meant to disrespect you or your game, there's been enough of that going on in the last few days.

My goal is to replicate the feel of a real mainstream MMO in a BYOND fan game. Who cares what the result is, as long as I try my best.

The answer is simple - laziness.
Kids these days, they don't try to do anything. They aren't motivated. Everything gets done for them. So, when they come to BYOND, they try to program and give up at Hello World, seeing how easy it is to rip a game.

However, instead of complaining, "Wah! No good Narushit games out wah!", why not just, I dunno, make a game that isn't an anime game(gasp!)?

What you say is true TNN, Ive just had enough waiting. Ive decided if you cant get it done do it yourself. I didnt want to make another byond game, i didnt have time. However it bothers me. It really does.
