Wouldn't it be great if at least a few BYOND blogs were always on the front page describing game updates? We need more topic-specific blogs as well...Instead of some guy we've never heard of us telling us to play an equally popular naruto game in all caps. In 10 years I wonder what will become of this site, will there be small gaming entrepreneurs who cover the front page with weekly update information about their original game? Hardly. This is my bleak outlook for BYOND's future:
  • Some new anime will come along after naruto and bleach, and flood the anime guild with even more lame fangames...the first original one will probably be the first one leaked.
  • Eventually, when BYOND acquires more players, they will delete the casual guild if it continues to remain inactive..Followed by complaints, they will abolish the main guilds entirely, or put in a newer, even less-effective system.
  • Soon, more people will develop decompilers, as well as rsc extractors, and eventually, a decompiler will make it into the wrong hands...
  • Finally, after the team has acquired enough money and experience, they will work on an entirely new type of client, which will be a dramatic improvement, but render all current games useless.


Feel free to debate this...Hopefully I'll try and write more TCM blogs.

That's Sad. Especially The Rips. If they do make a Decompiler. It will eventually go into the wrong fingers. Then the Flood will Begin.

Two decompilers already exist. One of them is Tom's and is horendously out of date, the other one is Slurm's and no he won't let you have it.

Decompilers won't be a problem. With the amount of work you have to put in to get the decompiled game to actually compile, you might as well make a whole new game from scratch.

I don't care if they're on the front page or not. I just need news to collect for Tech Tree. ;)

Its actually three that the public knows about..not two. Hobnob is the more recent addition to the confirmed decompiler list...Making 3 that the public knows about...As for resource extractors..who the heck knows...They're still uncommon but not as rare as they used to be...At least the majority of people dont have them..They're alot easier to get now than they were 2 months ago I'll tell you that. Matter of fact, I have 2 different versions of rsc extractors. But saying those are the only ones that exist is just naive. :P
