If you're sick of generic slasher horror or enjoy paranormal horror, you have to see The Gravedancers.
It's a little cheesy at times but it's still one of the best horrors I've seen. It's kind of like the old-school zombie movies, which in my opinion are some of the best horrors.
I know people who were scared of The Grudge, and I laughed all the way through that. The only movies that have ever creeped me out or scared me at all were The Exorcist, The Shining, It, and The Ring (only seen bits and pieces of the ring though), and this movie gave me about as many chills as those, though my favorite is probably still The Shining.
I'm a little weaker to horror than most people, but I'm still tastefully desensitized and unbiased as I haven't already seen everything like most people. So some might dislike this movie but I think others will love it.
I missed some of the climax though :(
That was a delight after suffering through The Abandoned. How that movie won the festival is beyond me, as it wasn't scary at all, wasn't creepy, and wasn't interesting at all.
I can't wait to see the remake of It. I want to see if they can top the performance of Tim Curry and fix that god-awful "WTF mate?" ending.

You ever see the Descent? It's hands down my favorite "scary" horror movie to date. You should definitely check it out.

They're remaking It? That's the worst news I've ever heard. No one can top Tim Curry. YOU HEAR ME? NO ONE!

Best movie ever: People Under the Stairs. Oh man, that movie really messed me up as a young kid. A movie I always found creepy was "The Mothman Prophecies". Especially since I live in the area the story takes place and drive past that motel 3 or 4 times a week. |
I bought the Descent a few weeks ago. It's pretty good, but it's not the scariest movie.

I love The People Under The Stairs, but it tends to make you cheer for Fool more than actually being scared of anything. Fool should team up with that crackshot (Tim?) from Phantasm 3, let Ash from the Evil Dead series coach them, and then annihilate all horror movie villans. ;)
PS: They're making a sequel? *sigh* |
Is that the one where cannibals are keeping people in their basement and the little kid finds them?

If you don't know what the show is... then you are officially uncool. |
