But anyway, this is probably the one of the biggest collapses in sports history. The Mets had a seven game lead over the Phillies with 2 weeks left to go in the regular season, they couldn't win a game against anyone in the NL East that they played in the last 2 weeks (I think they won 1 or 2 games in the last week... but they played Philly in one series, then after that, they played the Nationals and the Marlins... you have to win some games in there).

It wasn't the Phillies on a roll or anything.It was just the Mets falling apart.A roll would be like what the Yankees did.The Mets just mad history,on the wrong side.The Phillies stuck to what they had to do and the Mets were thinking "We got this int eh bag,history is on our side"
