Tournament-Scene Yugioh players

Friend and I are wanting to go to the Chicago Nationals.
However, we know nothing about the Nats or anything.
So some help would be lovely.

For Yu Gi Oh eh? Sounds interesting. Whats the prize O_o

Oh and what cards do you have. I haven't played with my cards in like 7 years, and I was in like 4th grade I think.

I've tried DMO though.

I've heard 1st gets a laptop, PSP(or DS), invite to the Regionals and a Golden Sarcophagus card.

I run Phoenix with a blitzkreig engine, but I may switch it up to an apprentice engine

I wouldn't take the card thats for sure.

Well, depending on its value of course. The laptop if anything.

Oh and.. My old deck was odd. I used part of my Joey starter deck, since most of the cards sucked in it, then from there I just bought booster packs from my local comic store.

Oh and I bought Exodia in a fishers variety store for 15.00$. Limbs and all. It was the best 15$ i've ever spent. :o

Fsck yes that card will have some value, since it will be the only one in English at this time. There will be 6 total.
Also, very nice on the Exodia.

Yeah, I did. I just worked my way up from a Yugi Starter.
I'm thinking about switching back to my Necrofear/Rush deck if this Phoenix thing doesn't work out.

Having a job helps getting the good stuff.

At one point I ended up using part of my friends Pegasus deck, which at the time I was eager to use since I had watched Yugi duel him, but to my own discontent it wasn't as good as I thought it would be.

Tournaments?

I believe one of their official site locations had a rule book for tournament duels. However, I haven't looked at any relative yu-gi-oh sites within the past few years, so I am not sure. Good luck though.

It started dying here when the thugs were selling them on the street to kids for profit. I'm dead fucking serious, too. They'd steal them from walmart and sell them to the little addicted ygo kids.
