Well as many of you may have guessed, our little buddy and co-creator of BYOND has a mighty secret...

See, Tom is really that guy from the movies who steals your girlfriend and bangs her in a boat, sometimes after passing you two on a beach while completely nude. Don't believe me, check it out for yourself in this picture with DerDragon.



It may look like that pose was planned, but that's actually his victory stance... Hopefully Mrs. DerDragon was nowhere in the vecinity.


Anyway I also wish to post a little "idea" I had while on Chat earlier today. Any other community I've been a part of (RoosterTeeth, Newgrounds) has some sort of community meet, where active users meet together in one place and have a couple day bash.

If anybody's into this idea, I'd like to work on setting one up for the summer of 2008. Let me know if you'd actually be interested, one definite is that you would have to be 18 years old, or older.

So what do you think?

I'd be willing to do it. Depends on where the meet is though. If I have to buy a plane ticket or drive a super long distance I probably wont be able to afford to come.

I agree with Maggeh. We'd have to see where the majority of BYOND lives.

That's why I want to plan it in advance. If we could find out if it would be doable, then we could always find out where everyone lived and go from there.

Yeah, a convention for BYONDers would be nearly impossible. I mean, hell, a good deal of BYOND doesnt even live in the US <_<

It wouldn't be too big to start, but it would make for a good annual celebration.

We could all meet up in one place in different countries, then link up a streaming webcam to the other meets, so in a sense, we'd all be in the same place, but aren't.

I'd go, but depends on where. Like Maggeh said, someplace close pl0x?*

Well in order for the meet to work, everyone would have to spend *some* money. Odds are almost everyone would take a plane to whatever location it would be, because it would have to be evened out somewhat fairly for everyone attending yet be somewhere that people would want to go anyway.

So start saving up, splitting a place to sleep for a few days will be easy, getting there will be the pricy part. But I figure if people would know far enough in advance they could get a cheaper plane ticket. So maybe we'll have this planned by the end of the winter.
